Spartan Pledge

In the presence of my colleagues who are assembled here

today, I pledge to faithfully execute the duties of my job
in a professional, respectful and courteous manner. I
commit to put forth the time and effort required for this
position. I will show a positive, enthusiastic attitude and
will encourage all members of our school to always give
their best in all of our endeavors. Together we seek to do
whatever it takes to embrace personal stories that will
lead to academic and behavioral growth in our students.

In the larger Spartan Community, I will treat my fellow

colleagues with respect, acceptance and understanding. I
will lend a helping hand when needed. I will communicate
my needs and advocate for the needs of others to my
department chairperson, PLC members, and others who are
in positions to help resolve my concerns. I will refrain from
idle noise that distracts and is unproductive or destructive
to the greater mission for teaching and learning in our
school. I understand that my obligation to my school
extends beyond the school campus and into the greater
Johnston County area, including the realm
of social media.

I am proud to be a Spartan and will hold myself to a

standard of conduct that will reflect well on myself, my
family, my school, and my community.
