Thank you very much Ms Tan for your encouraging welcome speech. Now, Ms Tan will introduce our experienced,
inspiring and competent Peninsula Private School teachers to all of you.
(after the introduction of PPS teachers)

Thank you Ms Tan for the impactful introduction of our PPS teachers. Before we move on to the next session, I would
like to request all primary students to proceed to the library for some fun activities prepared by our teachers. As for the
secondary students, you may stay with your parents, or if you wish to join the activities, please feel free to do so.
(after the students leave to the library)

A well-written code of conduct clarifies an organization's mission, values and principles, linking them with standards
of professional conduct. Any form of academic matter is crucial for students, parents and teachers to be accountable.
Now, I would like to invite Ms Shanthini and Ms Ivy, the School Coordinators, to brief us on code of conduct,
expectations and academic matters.
(after Shanthini and Ivy)

Thank you so much, Ms Shanthini and Ms Ivy. It was really informative and extremely helpful for the parents
and students. Social and Emotional Learning advances educational equity and excellence through authentic school-
family-community partnerships to establish learning environments and experiences that feature trusting and
collaborative relationships, rigorous and meaningful curriculum and instruction, and ongoing evaluation. Next, I
would to call upon Ms Adrea, the School Counsellor to further share her session on Social and Emotional
Learning.

(after Ms Adrea)
Personally, I truly understand how, as a teacher I can be part of our students’ social and emotional learning journey.
Social-emotional learning is vital for students because it teaches them crucial life skills, including the ability to
understand themselves, develop a positive self-image, take responsibility for their actions, and forge relationships with
the people around them. Thank you so much Ms Adrea for showing us how we play different roles in making sure our
children’s social and emotional learning can contribute for the betterment of the students’ future.
The School Communication Platform provides school with the expertise to plan and develop a comprehensive public
relations and communication program that begins with students, parents, and teachers and reaches out to include the
wider community. We have Mr Chandra, from Edupage, to succinct us on the communication platform.
(after Mr Chandran)

We are the supreme creatures of God but again we destroy what we are blessed with. We are the ones who can either
make this world beautiful and peaceful place or the worst place. So why should not we get united and work for the
betterment of this beautiful world? So let’s pray for the betterment and hope for the best academic year. May God give
us the strength to learn and serve the people.
On behalf of PPS, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for making it today. We are truly looking
forward to work closely with you for our students. Parents who would like to proceed with the fee payment, please see
Mr Amran, who is seated in the library and for parents who would like to purchase uniforms and books, kindly
proceed to the 3rd floor. I would like to end the day with my favourite educational quote which I hold dearly to myself.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Once again, thank you very much
and see you soon.
