GENERAL GUIDELINES
HEY KIDS! HAVE A HAPPY, HAPPENING BREAK!!
A holiday is supposed to be a break from studies, explanations and completing
tasks.
But are holidays supposed to make us irresponsible kids?
No, so we’re going to take up certain responsibilities and also enjoy our
holidays with our families
1. READ BOOKS in ENGLISH and HINDI (suggested reading)
Visit any book shop, and select books of your level. Read them well. Books
are your best friends.
2. IMPROVE YOUR WRITING
Write 1 page of Hindi and 1 page of English every alternate day, and when
you’re back to school after the holidays, your handwriting will be the envy
of your classmates! We would love to see your writing practice notebook
when you come back. 3. WALK TOGETHER
Go for walks with the family. You will realize you have two of God’s greatest gifts….
NATURE and your FAMILY.
4. CULTIVATE MANNERS
Remember the 4 magic words? PLEASE, THANK YOU, SORRY and EXCUSE ME. Make
these a part of your personality.
5. PLAY OUTDOOR GAMES

 Computer games are good. They sharpen your intellect, but what about the
rest of your body? You do need some exercise, don’t you? Go cycling, play
badminton, cricket, kho-kho, catch, hide n’ seek …… anything that will

This is your chance to look after your parents, grandparents, elders and even your younger
brothers and sisters. You can surely be of some help around the house

Group 1 and Group 2-Imagine yourself to be a newspaper journalist find out from the
newspapers and make a list of animals that are becoming extinct. Enlist reasons as to why
conservation of forests is important. You can also paste pictures of those animals to make
your project more creative.
Group3 and Group 4-Choose any 2 pictures based on Flora and Fauna and write a picture
composition based on it. Make a word chain related to flora and fauna.

Main Idea: Read a real life incident

Objectives:Brainstorming
On July 21, 2012, a leopard from a nearby National Park wandered into Prakash Nagar in
the North-East, where 3,000 villagers lived. Before the situation could be brought under
control, the leopard had attacked many policemen, forest rangers as well as a few villagers.
The leopard, in turn, was injured when people tried to save human lives. The leopard was
finally tranquilized, but died when it reached the veterinary shelter. Such incidents are very
common these days.

Vacation time!!!!!!!!!!!! As most of you would be visiting different places, you need to be
observant and explore the natural resources (flora and fauna) around you.
Students will visit a Nursery and will collect any five kinds of leaves ,dry them and will paste
in their scrap book and also will write few information they collected along with it.
