3M™ Tegaderm™ Foam Dressing (nonadhesive)
3M™ Tegaderm™ Foam Dressing (nonadhesive) is a highly absorbent, breathable, non-adherent
wound dressing. It is constructed from conformable polyurethane foam covered with a highly
breathable film backing. The film backing prevents wound exudate strike-through and acts as
a barrier to outside contamination. The dressing maintains a moist wound environment, which
has been shown to enhance wound healing.

Overall Fluid Management

Heavily draining wounds often require frequent dressing changes, which are not only expensive, but may also result in
patient discomfort. Owing to its combination of absorbency and fluid evaporation (moisture vapor permeability) — key
dressing characteristics necessary to managing wound fluid levels — Tegaderm™ Foam Dressing (nonadhesive) provides
a high level of overall fluid management.

Considerations
Observe the dressing frequently. As the dressing absorbs, exudate will wick to the top of the dressing, and discoloration
may be noticeable. When the exudate spreads to the edges of the dressing or the dressing begins to leak, a dressing
change is indicated.
• 3M™ Tegaderm™ Foam Dressing (nonadhesive) may be used as an absorbent cover dressing over wound fillers such
as alginates or gauze packing.
• Dressing change frequency will depend on the type of wound, volume of exudate and clinical situation. Change at
least every seven days, or as indicated per treatment protocol.
• You may cut the dressing, as needed, to fit the size of the wound or accommodate wound contours.
