1. Who do you consider great? Why?
2. How do you celebrate greatness of the people you know?
ANALYSIS 1:
1. Think of something great about your seatmate.
2. How do you feel when people around you recognize your greatness?
ACTIVITY 2: Methinks!
Explore Shakespeare’s thoughts about greatness. Think about what he means by the quote in the
thought bubble.
Shakespeare: “Be not afraid of greatness; some are born great, some achieve greatness, and
others have … greatness thrust upon them. “
ANALYSIS 2:
1. Do you agree or disagree with the statement of William Shakespeare? Why or why not?
2. Name some people you can relate to each line:
a. People who are born great
b. People who achieve greatness
c. People who have greatness thrust upon them
3. Among the three types of great people according to Shakespeare, which would you like to be?
