1. SCAFFOLDING INFORMATION,
(To refer attached catalog as per Appendix 1)
Allowable Working Load = 30kN – 2 Loads at Centre

2. LOADING CALCULATION,

• Concrete density = 24 kN/m3

• Slab thickness = 200mm & 250mm
• Platform Working Load = 2 kN/m2
• Safety Factor = 1.4

3. 200mm thick slab support,

Total slab self weight = 0.2 x1.2m x 24 x1.5 m

= 8.64 kN
Total working load on slab (during construction) = 2.0 x1.2m x1.5 m
= 3.6 kN

After 1.4 factor = 17.1 kN (Adequate)

Proposed scaffolding at 1200mm spacing maximum,

Allowable load = 30kN > 17kN

4. 250mm thick slab support,

Total slab self weight = 0.25 x1.2m x 24 x1.5 m

= 10.8 kN
Total working load on slab (during construction) = 2.0 x1.2m x1.5 m
= 3.6 kN

After 1.4 factor = 20 kN

Proposed scaffolding at 1200mm spacing maximum,

Allowable load = 30kN > 20kN (Adequate)
