Construct the system below, using the included impedance tables.

The neutrals of both transformers and Generator 1 (400 MVA) are solidly grounded, and a neutral reactance of 0.0025
per unit is connected to the Generator 2 neutral. The pre-fault operating voltage is 1.05 per unit.

Fault Simulation:
1) Conduct a Max fault at Buses 1 through 5 on the diagram.

2) Switch Line 2 out of service and conduct a Max fault at Bus 2 on the diagram.

Discussion:
1. Modify the Display Options to include impedance and attach a copy of the 1-line diagram to your report.
2. Attach the Short Circuit Report (showing 3Ф and L-G) for all bus faults.
3. Summarize your results in a table showing total fault current for each of the Bus 2 faults, and the Line to Ground
fault current for faults on the other buses.
4. Compare the results for the 3Ø and Ø-Ø faults on Bus 2, with and without Line 2 in service and explain any
differences.
5. Using per unit and symmetrical component analysis, calculate the power system fault currents at Bus 2 (Line 2
out of service) and compare to ETAP values.
