REPORT ON JOB ADAPTATION

Introduction
The aim of the current report is to highlight certain aspects related to the way in which I
have adapted myself to my new job in the last six months. It will also include likely further
recommendations in order to improve the situation.
First impressions on the new workplace
To begin with, the aspect that I consider I have improved most working as a programmer for
six months consists in my teamwork skills. Additionally, during this period of time I have
achieved a lot of knowledge about life as a programmer and I have also gained a wide
variety of advices from my colleagues. On the other hand, the office is not big enough, thus
being overcrowded. Furthermore, the AC keeps malfunctioning and with so many people
and computers generating heat in a small place the temperature is almost always too high,
therefore creating a stressful environment.
Further recommendations
Owing to these facts, a possible solution is to extend the business, in order to make some
space in every office, and to make sure that the cooling systems work properly. Moreover, I
think that a substantial improvement to our company would be the option to provide
various programming languages courses to the workers, in order to offer them a wide range
of projects to take part in.
Conclusion
All things considered, I tend to believe that if all the abovementioned measures are taken
note of and acted upon, it is obvious that not only the level of the employees’ satisfaction at
their workplace will raise, but also an improvement in their efficiency will be seen.
