Canvas Tips and Tricks Website Outline:

The site will consist of a home page with a navigation bar linking to individual topic
pages/sections.

Home:
This page will include a general introduction/description and list the learning objectives. The
navigation bar will include tabs/pills that link out to the individual instructional pages.

Syllabus:
This page will feature a step by step guide showing instructors how to save their Canvas
syllabus in word. Written information will be chunked in an accordion display. Learners can click
on each step to open and read at their own pace.

Announcements:
This page will showcase an embedded screencapture video showing the steps for displaying
recent announcements on the Canvas homepage. An interactive quiz will be added to the video
using H5P.

Video:
This section will deliver an interactive lesson on searching the video libraries and embedding
videos in Canvas. Hotspot activities will allow learners to practice the procedure before trying it
in a real course. Interactions include searching the libraries from the Canvas editor, previewing
videos, and embedding videos on a Canvas page.

Navigation:
This page will include an interactive software simulation embedded in an iframe. The simulation
will guide the learner complete the exact steps necessary to hide unwanted items from their
Canvas course navigation list.

Resources:
The resources page will provide links to the Canvas instructor guide, Canvas training
information and tech support information.
