Separation of impurities for segmentation of organic material

Aspired goal: Purification of the rivers and energetic use of the organic and
inorganic materials obtained through targeted separation and segmentation
into usable individual components.

• Within the framework of the project, a corresponding process chain is

to be developed which enables the separation and thus the
utilization of individual components of the organic and inorganic
components.

• Organic substances are decomposed into their individual components

by various stages and are thus used as material components or as
feed and energy suppliers.

• Substances that cannot be used directly are returned to the water

body as discharge fermentation residues or are also used as liquid
fertilisers.

• Furthermore, the possibility of reusing separated water hyacinths for

the purification of water bodies should also be examined.

CleanRiverSolutions - project approach

1. Step: Separation of organic

and inorganic material
The inorganic material is sent
for recycling or other recovery.

2. Step: Segmentation of the

organic material by mechanical
devices

3. Step: Fermentation
Liquid phase as substrate for a
fixed-bed fermenter
