1) KANYAKUMARI

Kanyakumari is a coastal town in the state of Tamil Nadu on India's southern tip.
Jutting into the Laccadive Sea, the town was known as Cape Comorin during
British rule and is popular for watching sunrise and sunset over the ocean. It's also a
noted pilgrimage site thanks to its Bagavathi Amman Temple, dedicated to a
consort of Shiva, and its Our Lady of Ransom Church, a center of Indian
Catholicism.

Rameshwaram is significant for many Hindus as a pilgrimage to Varanasi is considered to
be incomplete without a pilgrimage to Rameswaram. The town along with the
Ramanathaswamy temple is one of the holiest Hindu Char Dham (four divine sites) sites
comprising Badrinath, Puri and Dwarka.
5) VARKALA

Varkala is a town in the south Indian state of Kerala. It’s on the Arabian Sea and known for
Varkala Beach, backed by palm-covered red cliffs. Just south, Papanasam Beach is believed to
have holy waters. On a nearby hill, the ancient Janardanaswamy Temple is a Hindu pilgrimage
site dedicated to Vishnu. Farther inland, the Sivagiri Mutt monument memorializes the social
reformer Sree Narayana Guru, who is buried here.

06) BANGALORE

Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is the capital of India's southern Karnataka state. The
center of India's high-tech industry, the city is also known for its parks and nightlife. By
Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha is a Neo-Dravidian legislative building. Former royal
residences include 19th-century Bangalore Palace, modeled after England’s Windsor Castle,
and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, an 18th-century teak structure.
07) RAMSETU

Adam's Bridge, also known as Rama's Bridge or Rama Setu, is a chain of limestone shoals,
between Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, off the south-eastern coast of
Tamil Nadu, India, and Mannar Island, off the north-western coast of Sri Lanka.

09) OOTY

Ooty also known as udhamgamandalam, is a hill station in the state of tamilnadu, in


southern India . Sorrounded by trees, Central Ooty Lake is a huge artificial expanse of
water with pleasure boats .

10) COIMBATORE

Coimbatore is a city in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. To the northwest is the
centuries-old, Dravidian-style Arulmigu Subramaniyaswami Temple, Marudamalai. The
colorful and intricately carved Arulmigu Patteeswarar Swamy Temple lies southeast of
here. In the center, the Gass Forest Museum has a huge collection of preserved animals and
tree trunks. Southeast, birds and butterflies inhabit Singanallur Lake.
11) PERIYAR NATIONAL PARK
Periyar National Park, also known as Periyar Tiger Reserve, is in the mountainous
Western Ghats of Kerala, southern India. This wildlife sanctuary is home to tigers and
a significant elephant population, as well as rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer,
leopards and Indian bison. In the park's north, Periyar Lake is popular for boat rides.
Farther north, spice plantations surround the town of Kumily.

12) KOVALAM BEACH


Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of
Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a
viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach.
Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor. Inland,
Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays technology used in pearl production.
