REFLECTION ON THE
DOCUMENTARY OF
MS GINA LOPEZ
"GENUINE LOVE"

Philosophy Teacher
First is her love to the humanity. She spent her 15 years to the community in Africa left her family and
her good life to help them her sacrifice in order to see them is uncomparable. For others it is a waiste
of time but for Gina it is the start of a big fight for humanity. And the second is her love to her family
and her country. After she visited by her family she disided to go home in the Philippines she realized
that it's time for her to help her contrymen and her own county. And she lunched the bantay Bata
project has a purpose to help children who being abused. And the last is her fight for the
environment. After her successful projects in the lamesa watershed Ang ilog pasig she started many
projects to protect and conserve the nature. And years past she become the secretary of Department
of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) after she successfuly close almost 30 mining sites in the
country she face the consequences because we all know politics is made up of selfish people. After
many hearings her position was disapprove by the Commission on Appointment. But her advocacy for
nature is not yet done she started a project to protect our nature "the quest of love" and I think that
why she called the true warrior of mother nature.

Ms Gina Lopez spent her whole life finding her purpose. From the protector of humanity to the warrior
for the environment. At first she encountered about problem of human life, poverty, illnesses, and lack
of education. Because of her love to the people she see that the other way to protect them is to protect
their habitat which is the environment. The conversation of the Lamesa watershed and Pasig River is the
start of her love to mother nature. And I think her love to the environment it has a big impact to her life
she tends to travel the different places in our country to see the true beauty of nature. And she
encourage more to protect and conserve it.

Gina Lopez has a big heart not only to humanity but also to environment and animals her passion to her
job make her life more meaningful and colorful. Her attitude towards her job and the people who
helped her is more detailed and accurate making it more compact and appropriate to the people or
community that she helping on. And also the love, hope, and happiness she shared to the community. I
think this values and attitude of Ms Gina Lopez make her advocacy more efficient and I think if we use it
even not all we can be like Gina Lopez who has passion, good attitude, the most importantly the love the
genuine love in her heart.

I think the scenes in the video that shows Anthropocentric perspective is the lamesa watershed because
we use the shed in order to have a water supply in the whole Manila and one of the project of Ms Gina
Lopez is to conserve the shed for long time use. And the scenes that shows Biocentric and Ecocentric si
the mining operations that being closed by the former secretary. Because it affects the living organism in
the site and according to the speech of Ms Gina Lopez the government must see what is in the
Constitution inorder to see her basses. And she said that we should protect our environment not destroy
it we must conserve it in order to see by the next generation. And the example of Environmental
aesthetics view in the video is the project of Ms Gina Lopez. The conversation of lames watershed and
ilog pasig because base on the video ilog pasig is polluted and ms Gina and her team the whole metro
Manila clean the estero and now it is incredibly beautiful and same in the lamesa watershed they
planted trees in order to save the watershed.
For me one of the project of Ms Gina Lopez that being considered as sustability/ sustainable
development is the " G Diaries "quest for love" because they help local community to promote their
products and the tourist destination this project has no bad effect on the community even in the
environment there products is made up of non-toxic materials wich mean environment friendly. And the
people on the community is not abusing the resources in making there products.

I think garbage segregation si one of concrete sustainable environment because if you segregate you will
be able to help our city to maintain the cleanliness and our environment. And garbage segregation will
lessen the time of the disposal of waist because unsegregated waist it process in the Material Recovery
Facility in order to despose the waist properly. This activity will help us and our mother nature to live
more meaningful and More engaged to the environment.
