AN ORDINANCE INSTITUTIONALIZING THE REGREENING VILLAVERDE


PROJECT OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF VILLAVERDE AND PROVIDING
VISITAGON R TOLEDO

SECTION 1. TITLE: This ordinance shall be known and referred to as The

Regreening Villaverde Project

SECTION 2. SCOPE: This ordinance shall cover all activities invo(ving the
"Tree Planting Program” of the Municipality of Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya.
SECTION 3. PURPOSES: The ReGreening Villaverde Project aims to:

a) To institutionalize the act of tree planting as our way of life and


moral obligation to reinforce, enrich and maintain our

It is the policy of LGU of Villaverde to promote the principle of
sustainable management of the environment by responding to the global

SECTION 5. DEFINITION OF TERMS: For the objective of this ordinance

the municipality of Villaverde.

1. All household heads in the Municipality is required to
plant, one (1) fruit brearing tree every year within an area
designated by the MLGU to coincide either on June 25,
Philippine Arbor day and October as declared by the
RBAN Province as Environment Month or on the celebration of
the town’s Foundation Day.
2. All nine (9) barangays of Villaverde shall establish a
Barangay Tree Park in return to the Municipal Aid from the
MLGU. In the absence of Tree Park, the barangay may
conduct Urban Greening along roadsides within its
jurisdiction.
3. All associations/cooperatives in Villaverde shall conduct

tree planting activity in the designated area given by the
MLGU in return to the certificate of recognition/
FERDIN ND IL NOTO accreditation issued by the Sangguniang Bayan.

by the DENR or the Municipality

1. For PHP 100.00 aid from the LGU and elected officials, the
beneficiary shall plant, one (1) fruit bearing tree to be
certified by MENRO
2. Beneficiaries from Phil health, Agriculture, Health programs
and ambulance users in the municipality shall plant one (1)
fruit bearing tree.
