In this modern era, no one is safe whether they are at their home or they are outside. There are many factors which had
lead to this increasing fear. In this essay I will look into the reasons as well as solutions to tackle this problem.

To begin with, crime on the streets is escalating day by day, everyday murders and kidnapping become the headlines
of newspapers. Due to this, people frightened while go outside from their homes. Furthermore, mishaps on roads have
risen, more than ever and continue to increase every day. Moreover some people are afraid to go out because of
natural calamities. The news of terror attack and bombing also make the situation worse. For example, a survey was
conducted by the government of India on terrorist attacks stated that mostly rebels explode the bombs in the populated
areas.

On the other side, in the homes masses also do not feel safe because many times robbers kill the house members to
snatch their money. Due to the increase in unemployment people do not able to meet their basic needs, to fulfill these
needs people commit crime as a result, the feeling of vulnerable among the people increase.

There are several steps that, can be taken by individuals as well as government to make the people feel save in their
homes as well as outside from their house. Government should provide vocational training and good job opportunities
to the youngsters as a result youngsters would never fall on the path of crime. In addition to this, government should
install security cameras on public places also should increase the police patrolling on the road to decrease the crime
proportion. Last not least stricter punishment for the criminals would decrease the offence rate dramatically.

To sum up, people fear and insecurity is justified by the crime reports of media. This situation can be mitigated by
taking several measures such as stricter punishment, tackle the problem of unemployment and security cameras in
public areas.
