SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF GOVT. DEGREE COLLEGE BOYS

KHANQAH SHARIF AND GOVT. DEGREE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN KHANQAH
SHARIF BAHAWALPUR

Sir,

We believe learner comes first. It is to inform you that Khanqah Sharif situated in west
of District Bahawalpur is popular for its shrine of Khawaja Mohkum ud Deen Serani with an
estimated population of about hundred thousand people. Although Khanqah Sharif is
acquainted with basics facilities for survival of life like electricity , gas , roads, sewage etc. but
main concern for writing this is to raise demand for building college for boys and girls in
khanqah Sharif for young people to enjoy learning, make good progress and achieve high
standards.

Currently, there are many government and private secondary schools collaborately,
producing about thousands of matriculate pupils in every academic year who urge to seek
admissions in Government colleges but unfortunately they stop their studies as they have to
travel to hundreds of kilometers daily to reach Bahawalpur to get their college studies done.
Poor masses of Khanqah Sharif could not afford daily traveling expense. The girls are not
allowed to go to Bahawalpur for studies.

I feel myself so lucky to inform you that we meet all statutory requirements for building
college for boys and girls. Survey revealed that following are numbers of matriculated pupils
every academic year only through government school in Khanqah Sharif.

Second requirement is location for new colleges. There is a land available under
Mehkma Auqaf Punjab, which is sparsely 300 meters away from motorway N-5 from Lahore to
Karachi. Total available land is 50 acres under possession of Mehkma Auqaf which is divided in
two equal parts of 25 acres on either sides of metal road. Which I feel is an idol place for Boys
College on one side and girls college on another side of road. Site plan shows proposed location
of new colleges:

This is in keeping with education ministry statutory duty and strategic prioritized to develop
new colleges to meet emerging demand of pupils graduating from schools and uplift the
country by educating the youth of Pakistan.

It is humbly requested to build two government colleges for boys and girls for down
trodden people of Khanqa Sharif. Moreover, Govt. of Pakistan has also allocated budget for four
new colleges in Southern Punjab. Out of these two colleges are escalated to Yazman but the
remaining two were supposed to be in Khanqah Sharif but unfortunately, this plan of
development is not passed on to Khanqah Sharif with the reason that there are no sufficient
numbers of matriculated students in area. Kindly I request you to take a survey and endorse
transitive of budget for this purpose.
