ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION
 ‘RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL’ is an old pattern in Indian education since the Vedic Age, which
we called ‘Gurukul’.
 Each country has its own tradition of providing education , governed by the respective govt.
section .It is not possible to give universally applicable data for school design
 The earliest system of education in India has been ‘GURUKUL SYSTEM’.
 The early Gurukul of India enriched both mind and body, being as they were lap in nature.
 But now a days the concept of ‘GURUKUL’ are widely changed to the concept
‘RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL’ with the drastic change in life style.
 Children’s are said to be the hope of tomorrow and the Residential School plays important
role in their life.
 Residential school provides the value based education in a stress free environment , it enables
the student to determine their inner talents and flourish them to the fullest potential .
 It enhance and enrich during the process of course to become successful.
 It develops the personality of student’s in all the direction.
 Residential schools really broaden the vision and enlighten the way to the future of a child by
the totality of discipline, which called ‘EDUCATION’ .

NEED
 Every child is tomorrows responsive citizen. Development of any person his childhood
results development of that nation.
 Surrounding around children molds them and gives definite identity .
 It is seen that apart from school education the childrens are more attached in other activities
such as games , sports , watching television , and other hobbies but due to lack of proper
infrastructure facilities such as playground availability of equipment and proper time.
 Present education system according to many educationist lacks any purposeful efforts
towards developing multifaceted personality of children.
 There is important relation between everyday life and education.
 More ever the joint family system is rapidly breaking down due to its own various reasons
and the number of nuclear is increasing . Consequently the child which used to gain informal
cultural behavior training at home from elder is left without it many of times both of his
parents are out of where they trying to earn money.
 And hence many times the child is packed in a childcare in such a situation gravity of
problems depends psychological and emotional problems develop in the child. And hence the
‘RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL’ plays important role in todays life style.
 And all this problems made the Residential school the basic need in todays life style to
provide the value based education, which is a process of self revelation, self liberation, self
expression.
AIM
 The main aim of the project is to provide the value based education in a stress free
environment.
 To develop in youth a competence in applying best available strategies for survival in a world
filled with unprecedented troubles , uncertainties and opportunities and to make these
strategies for survival visible.
 To develop not only the awareness of freedom but also the intellectual perspective.
 To constitute the questioning, meaning- making the process that can be called’ learning how
to learn’.
 To create the atmosphere of a home , where a happy , friendly and spiritual relationship is
fostered among the students.

OBJECTIVES

 To prepare the students to build up a cordial and peaceful society by enabling them to take
their right place in the intellectual and civic life of the nation, ultimately producing the
successful leaders with competency and excellence
 To mould the student to be the agent of positive change
 To develop entrepreneurship , self- dependence and self- discipline
 To foster the independent thinking, thoughtful decision making , critical analysis, realistic
understanding and appreciation of difference of opinion .
 To have tolerant attitude towards the all moral and religious values.
 Health, intellectual development of the child.
 To develop the students talent , creativity etc
 To create the global citizen with discipline, dignity , commitment and hard work to create the
leaders of tomorrow, through traditional values of love , empathy and discipline.
 To orient each child individually through the educational process so that the child can realize
the maximum potential , self confidence and the skill of personal responsibility .
 To develop a well groomed appearance and the smart turn out.

SCOPE
 The Residential School is an old pattern in Indian education , since the vedic age, which we
called Gurukul.
 The system of gurukul was very different from other system of teaching or learning of any
kind of education or technique.
 Now a days , its value or scope rises more and more.
 Because , of the discipline among the management and teaching staff, and the methodology
of education which varies and optimum from other education pattern.
