The Casual Mechanisms of Interaction between
________________________________
International Institutions
Title of the Article

1. Difficult Concepts (What concepts did you find difficult to understand?)

i. Casual Mechanics links the micro-level of actors with the macro-level of
institutions.
ii. The ideal types of institutional interaction that are theoretically constructed
containing different important characteristics of cases. They also have
explanatory power.
iii. The difference between casual chains and clusters and their formation of
casual chains.

2. Insights (What new insights or learning did you gain in discussion/ activity?)

i. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I didn’t know the different
examples of International Institutions and their role in their countries. And how
they are responsible for the economic growth of each country. However,
reading the article/understanding the lesson, I now learned that there are
different International Institutions or Organizations namely—World Trade
Organization (WTO), European Union (EU), World Customs Organizations
(WCO) and many more. These are some of the organizations that influence
development and effectiveness to the country and also to the people.

ii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that there are
no such thing as casual mechanics that can somehow describe and identify
different institutions. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I
now think/realize that casual mechanics are important because it helps on the
analysis on different issues of several International Institutions/Organization and
more importantly, these casual mechanisms help for the basis of the
development of theories.

iii. Before reading the article/understanding the lesson, I thought that

International Institutions or Organization has only one purpose and functions for
different countries. However, reading the article/understanding the lesson, I
now think/realize that there are several International Institutions/Groups that
are present to every country thus they have different purposes. But they help
the society to be better in general. For example, the World Trade Organization
“WTO” is responsible for making the rules for international trade. European
Union “EU” has a purpose to promote greater social political and economic
flow among the nations of Western Europe.

3. Questions (What questions would you want answers for? Or vague areas you
want more explanations about?
i. What will happen if a country doesn’t have an International Organization
or Institution?
ii. How are the people affected if such institutions/organizations stop working?
iii. How does these institutions were affected by Globalization?
