Warning: Senior Year Expectations!

Everyone expects senior year to be relaxing and easy going until the point of
graduation. It is not like that at all in the first semester. Sure, there may be fun activities
within the year and many enjoy it because they know that there will not be another
chance of leisure in the future. According to previous alumni, the first semester is full of
stress due to having to deal with the deadline for college applications. A senior at
STEAM Legacy by the name of Rafael Castellon states, “I’m expecting senior year to be
really complicated because of college applications, dealing with classes, and staying on
track.”
Despite all of the stress fall semester brings, the events as a senior will be a reward for
all the hard work. Brenda Moreno, our ASB STEAM President says, “I expect a lot of
fun activities than last year. I’m looking forward to every spirit week through the year
and I really want everyone to show spirit and participate more.” As spirit week grows
closer, Brenda hopes for seniors to set an example by showing their school spirit since it
is their last year. After all, they should enjoy it while it lasts.
Senior year may be full of stress because of deadlines and college applications;
however, it is also the year that many will look back and say, “I made it!” Leadership
class is planning some “senior events” and will hopefully relieve some stress to those
who participate and bring joyous moments.
