enhanced my natural ability and skills in the marketing and public relations industry. I have sought out
multiple opportunities to develop my marketing skills and last summer, I worked at Universal Studios in
Toronto on a summer contract position. This entailed developing web pages and slideshows publicizing the
success of the studio. I was able to utilize my web authoring skills to assist the organization in their goal to
create strategic web design.

I have been able to build upon my passion for Business Marketing, event marketing, advertising, media, social
media, telling stories, design, presenting, breaking down difficult information into digestible and
understandable bits, motivating,

As a student assistant at Durham College’s career development office, I am responsible for updating
information on new programs, career coaching, and companies who wish to hire our students.

This involves heavy calling during my shifts at the office. In addition to calling, I also email clientele. This calls
for me to employ interpersonal skills to communicate with clients effectively. Due to my strong
communication skills, I have been given even more responsibilities. For example, I now publicize all career
development events via multiple social media platforms.

I believe that my experiences in marketing, paired with my on-going studies make me a strong student
summer position candidate for a variety of companies. I am a diligent worker, and passionate about my work. I
continue to seek the opportunity to grow and further the development of my marketing skill set with dynamic
summer positions.
