Presentation
pupils to repeat red after you. Proceed in the same way with yellow and blue. T - SS
 Try pointing at something blue and asking Red? Pupils may correct you, if they don't, say: No, blue.
Point to something yellow and ask Yellow? Confirm by saying Yes, yellow. Ask similar questions
using all three colours.

 Play the first part of the recording. Pupils listen and and point to the words as they hear them.
 Play the second part of the recording (Now say). Pupils repeat the words. T – SS realia
 Hold up colour flashcards one by one and elicit the correct colour asking What colour is it? PB 35

 Tell pupils (in Bosnian) that they are going to learn how to give their age in English and to ask other flashcards
people how old they are. T – SS board
 Look at the pictures of the four children and elicit their names: hold up your book, point to each
picture in turn, and ask: Who is it?
 Play the recording. Pupils point to each child as they hear them speak.
 Play the recording again, pausing after each line for pupils to repeat. Encourage them to answer
Harry's question with their own ages.
 Ask individual pupils: How old are you? Elicit full replies: I'm eight. Pupils then chain around the S-S
class: How old are you? I'm eight. How old are you? etc.
Practice
AB p 3, Ex 3
 Play the recording and have pupils write the correct ages in the speech bubbles. They can refer to T - SS
page 2 for the spellings. S

Practice AB p 3, Ex 4
 Pupils read the words and colour the stars accordingly. While they are working, walk around the T - SS
class and check their work. Pick up different coloured pencils and ask them to say the colour. S

Ending the lesson:


Wrap-up Play Touch the colour. Point to each pupil and say a colour. Then call out colours in any order. When
pupils hear their colour, they must find something that colour. T-S 5 min
