Discuss the causes and effect of gender inequality.

Gender inequality implies a gap between woman and men. In fact, it has been demonstrated
that this inequality has increased over the last years. Some of the reasons doubt the existence
of this inequality is related to tradition and education.

Firstly, gender inequality has to do with tradition. People consider that men are stronger than
women and, for this reason, men are able to perform more activities than woman. For example,
men are good at doing all the hard work while women are good at cooking.

Another reason of gender inequality is related to education. In some countries, men are allowed
to go to school while women have to stay at home and receive education from their parents.
Furthermore, they receive education according to their gender.

Taking these reasons into account, gender inequality can lead to less job opportunities for
women and discrimination.

First the existence of gender inequality can lead to less job opportunities for women. Men have
better opportunities to get a job than women. For instance, some hospitals or companies prefer
to having a male doctor or secretary to a female person.

Lastly, gender inequality can lead to discrimination. In general, society itself creates the
difference between women and men. For example, people do not consider that women can
drive a car as well as men do.

To conclude, gender inequality is related to tradition and education since men have more
possibilities to do many jobs than women have. What is more, this inequality can lead to less job
opportunities for women and discrimination. Needless to say that in order to find a solution for
this issue, people should treat each other in an egalitarian way without thinking on gender roles.
