1ST INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
A Scotsman named James Watt invented an engine that was run by steam. Once inventors
learned about the steam engine they began to experiment with using it to run boats. The first man to
build a steamboat in the United States was John Fitch.
A light bulb is a device that produces light from electricity.[1] In addition to lighting a dark
space, they can be used to show an electronic device is on, to direct traffic, for heat, and many other
purposes. Billions are in use, some even in outer space.
The production of iron from its ore involves an oxidation-reduction reaction carried out in a
blast furnace. Iron ore is usually a mixture of iron and vast quantities of impurities such as sand and clay
referred to as gangue. The iron found in iron ores are found in the form of iron oxides.
An electrical telegraph was a point-to-point text messaging system, used from the 1840s until
better systems became widespread. It used coded pulses of electric current through dedicated wires to
transmit information over long distances.
Cameras have evolved over the years from the camera obscure to the numerous generations of
photographic technologies which include films, dry plates, collotypes, daguerreotypes and finally the
present day digital cameras.
