Florence Nightingale, born in Florence, Grand Duchy of Tuscany,

May 12, 1820 and died in London, August 13, 1910, was a British
nurse, writer and statistician, considered a precursor of modern
professional nursing and creator of the first conceptual model of
nursing.
Nightingale created a theory that focused on the environment. All
conditions and external influences that affect the life and development
of an organism and that can prevent, stop or favor disease, accidents
or death

His theory on the 5 essential elements of a healthy environment


(clean air, drinking water, sewage disposal, hygiene and light) are
considered as indispensable today as they were 150 years ago
