[Day 1]

“Engage with the conversation your audience is having, where they want to have it!"

Why messenger marketing?

 The customer journey progress faster because people psychologically feel the urge to reply
faster through messenger than email
 Building a bot is much easier than building a traditional web funnel
 Message open rate is much higher (above 70%) than emails (around 20%) which means most of
the messages sent through emails are not even opened by the receiver.
 The content of an email message and facebook message can be same but the way the message
is delivered is not the same. Thus, we can send the same message in messenger for much more
effective result.
 People likes to have short messages, messenger is the most suitable for this type of messaging
where it feels more like a conversation.
 People are tired of browsing through the links or landing pages shared by other business entities
for lead magnets (A lead magnet is some information which is valuable for the potential
customers). After going to these landing pages, they are even asked to provide their first name,
last name, email address etc. That’s why they tend avoid such links or landing pages. Thus
instead of sending peoples links, we can serve the same purpose through messengers.

topics an user is interested in), how they opted in (Definition is given below).
 Opt in/Opting in: It is a form of consent given by the facebook users to contact them via
messenger with product information, promotion and other activities like these. This consent can
be given by many ways. Some of them are: 1. If an user comments on a post, facobook will allow
the page to initiate a conversation with that user. 2. If a facebook user directly messages to the
facebook page, facebook gives the permission to communicate with them. 3. If a user visits a
facebook page and click the “Get Started” option in welcome screen, it allows the page to
communicate with the users.
 The subscriber list can be filtered using single or multiple criteria. E.g . When the subscriber was
last active, their language, tags associated with them, gender, locale etc. This option can really
helpful while making a short list of people to send a particular blog/promotion that will interest
them.
 If a facebook user sends a message via an ad or checkbox plugin and don’t reply to the follow
up message, they will not be counted as a subscriber.
