I write in respect of Igwe Victor who is applying for the Mastercard 

Scholarship for the Master of Geomatics for Environmental Management program 
at the University of British Columbia. 

I have had the pleasure of teaching Victor in my capacity as Lecturer, having 

taught him in several semesters in the Department of Surveying and 
Geoinformatics at the University of Lagos. Victor is an exceptional student 
and during the period I taught him, he displayed striking potential and a 
tremendous yearning for knowledge.  

Victor was participative in lectures, quite inquisitive and showed initiative. 

He led various groups for laboratory works and mini-projects I organized for 
the students. He has good technical ability which he displayed through good 
use of relevant software and tools for coursework. 

I was honored to be part of the Fugro Nigeria Limited Scholarship Award 

Ceremony of which he was an Awardee. It gave me great joy and pride to see him 
as a recipient of the award. He was also a member of the student's 
organization of the Department and was actively involved in programs and 
projects carried out by the student body. 

Victor's outstanding qualities make him a good fit for the program and I
