Description:
Game is aimed to develop front foot drive.
One team start batting, the other fielding.
1x batter batts at a time. The remaining batters line up behind cone (refer to
diagram).
Fielders are spread between 2 cones out in front of the batter.
5x Ts are set out with balls, the batter hits all 5 off (front foot drive), fielders
can’t collect until last ball is hit off the T.
Once last ball is hit, fielders work together to all the balls back in and onto the Ts.
Whilst fielders are collecting, batter is running in-between the wickets.
Once all batters have rotated through, teams swap (fielders to batters).
Rules:
One team start batting, the other fielding.
Batting team:
o 1x batter batts at a time.
o The remaining batters line up behind cone (refer to diagram).
o Can only hit 1 ball at a time.
o Must begin running once last ball is hit.
o Must tip the ground past the cone for runs to count.
o Running to cone and back = 1 run.
o If ball is hit off the cone and falls in front of cone – that counts as a hit
and ball must be left there.
Fielding:
o Can only start fielding once last ball has been hit.
o Fielders need to reset up cones with balls on top to stop batter for
running.
Cones should be relatively in a straight line.
o If ball is caught, it is placed on the ground ready for collection when
batter has hit the remaining balls.
Once all players have batted, teams swap over.
Scorer counts runs.
Umpire makes sure fielders don’t start fielding until all balls are hit.
Keep rotating until time has run out.
o Note if time runs out, runs are only counted if both teams have batted
equal amounts.
