Subject: Applying for the post of English Teacher for ACCESS English Microscholarship program

Dear Saira Maqbool

In response to your job advertisement for the recruitment of English teacher for ACCESS
Microscholarship program in Allama Iqbal Open University Gujranwala Campus in collaboration
with US State department. I am enclosing my resume for your perusal.
Having taught English for almost nine years to all levels of the students including online
students from USA, Canada, Australia, England and Saudi Arabia, I am excited to teach talented
Pakistani underprivileged learners of age 13-19 enrolled in ACCESS English Microscholarship
Program in Gujranwala so that I can use my knowledge and transferable English Language skills
to enable the students to communicate and move in Pakistan as well as in the world for personal,
educational and professional fulfilment.
Teaching English as means of communication has always been both, demanding and rewarding
experience. In Domino English Language Center Rawalpindi where I taught for almost five years,
the Diagnostic Test which includes written test and interview at beginning of the course was an
interesting experience to explore the level of English of the students so that the students are
placed in the classes according to the level of their language skills as European English Framework
of Reference suggests different levels from A1 to C2. Different. Use of different language games,
energizers, warmers, songs, and audio video aids etc. used to make learn of grammar, vocabulary
and pronunciation easy and interesting for the students. Besides, in the Educators School, use of
different interaction patterns like pair work, group work, mingle or whole class bolstered
students’ confidence and rapport with their fellows and teacher. Teacher Talk Time
Sincerely,
Tamseela Kausar
