Research paper and poster (RPP) competition is an original research paper competition
intended for young researchers from health and/or biomedical science-related fields.
Appreciating the importance of research as the fundamental aspect of medical development,
RPP competition is held to facilitate young researchers to present their researches and to
exchange knowledge with other participants.

This competition consists of three phases:

Phase 1: Preliminary round (abstract selection)
It is not compulsory for participants of RPP to submit abstracts with topics relevant to
the theme of Liga Medika 2019. However, abstracts must have topics associated with fields
related to medicine and/or health sciences. Submitted abstracts will be clustered into one
of three existing clusters, which are as follows:
● Biomedical Research Cluster
Biomedical Research cluster consists of research about basic biomedical science,
such as anatomical and physiological interpretations, experimental research
involving non-human subject, as well as innovation in biomolecular research.
● Clinical Research Cluster
Clinical Research cluster comprises of research in the clinical setting, such as clinical
diagnosis, management, as well as intervention on patient subject.
● Epidemiology and Public Health Research Cluster
Epidemiology and Public Health Research cluster encompasses research in fields of
epidemiology and public health, such as epidemiological study, community-based
assessment, or non-clinical assessment on patient subject.
Afterwards, submitted abstracts will be assessed by a team of experts in their respective
clusters. Selected abstracts will be considered qualified to proceed to the semifinal round.

Phase 2: Semifinal round (poster competition)

All teams will present their posters in their respective clusters. Semifinalists should
present their paper in the form of poster presentation to the judges. The poster will be
displayed in 40 inch TV (e-poster presentation). The committee will randomize the order of
presentation. There will be two teams from each cluster chosen for the final round.

Phase 3: Final round (oral competition)

During the final round, six teams will be given the opportunity to present their papers in
the form of oral presentation to the judges. The committee will randomize the order of
presentation. Three winners of RPP competition will be announced at the end of this
event.
1. Each team registering for RPP competition consists of 2-5 individual participant
from the same university under health and/or biomedical science-related majors,
including pre-clinical and clinical students. This competition only applicable to
those who have not received their medical doctor degree.
2. Each individual participant can only be the first author in one INAMSC
competition with maximum participation in two different competitions in
INAMSC.
3. Semifinalists of RPP competition are participants who have passed the preliminary
round.
4. The first author of the team proceeding to semifinal and final round must attend the
semifinal and final round of INAMSC 2019 in Jakarta.
5. The committee of INAMSC 2019 has the right to publish all semifinalists' abstracts
in the program book of INAMSC 2019.
6. The submitted research must be an original work and has not been published in any
journals or presented in any competition, conference and/or events. Any form of
plagiarism is not tolerable.
7. Violation of any of the rules will result in immediate disqualification.
8. Rules and guideline for semifinal round (poster presentation) and final round (oral
presentation) will be announced after the announcement of preliminary round
results.

Participants of RPP competition are those who have completed registration on

ligamedika.com. The abstract submission will be sent to an e-mail specified on the
confirmation e-mail from committee of Liga Medika 2019.
The general guideline for research paper and poster applied in INAMSC 2019 are as follows.
