“AGHAMAZING”
Contest Guidelines
1. Rationale
b. Competition Elements:
i. Entries should have at least a total running time of at most 5 minutes.
ii. Content must be aligned with the theme and must present and highlight
Science, Technology, and Innovation.
iii. Entries can either be Filipino or English.
iv. All elements must be original, licensed, in the public domain, or as permitted
by fair use clause.
c. Infringement. Use of any visual materials, script, storyline, scoring, and other
musical elements that are copyrighted will not be allowed. Videos which have been
previously published, recorded, or released in any part of the world and those which
have been commissioned by any third party shall not be eligible as entries.
d. Submission of Entries:
i. All interested participants shall submit a brief (1-minute) video
explainer/description of their talent via email to camreyes@ro4a.dost.gov.ph.
ii. DOST CALABARZON reserves the right to disqualify entries that are not in
line with the mechanics of the contest.
iii. Participants will be emailed a confirmation to present their Science Talent
Show acts.

c. The decision of the Panel of Judges shall be FINAL and IRREVOCABLE. The final
score of the winners will be announced during the awarding ceremonies. Any part of
the scorecards or rating sheets are NOT for public scrutiny. In case of a tie, the
Panel of Judges shall convene to break the tie.
4. Schedule of Activities
Below is the timeline of activities from the registration to the awarding proper:

Cash prizes will be awarded to the Top Three (3) Winners, while consolation prizes
(RSTW merchandise) will be given to other participating acts.
The winners shall receive the following prizes during the DOST-CALABARZON’s
Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) Awarding and Closing Ceremonies:
PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY
First (1st) Prize Php 10,000
Second (2nd) Prize Php 5,000
Third (3rd) Prize Php 3,000
Participating Entries Consolation Prizes (RSTW Merch)
NOTE: Cash prizes will be subject to 20% tax based on the Final Withholding Tax Guidelines.
