ACTIVITY GUIDELINES

ArkiLustrasyon: Lodi Mo, Guhit Mo

Architecture is a well-known course in the field of arts. In this activity the

participants will showcase their skills in a very creative way. This activity aims
to showcase and enhance the talent and ability of students in drawing that will
uplift traditional art of an individual illustrator. It will also give an opportunity
to show off their Filipino Architect idol by expressing individuality, message,
and learnings to utter their admiration. This will revive patriotism and see the
benevolence of architecture in the country
Mechanics:
1. Open for all students of Batangas State University- Alangilan Campus under
the Department of BS Architecture. Each section is encouraged to have one
representative.
2. They must submit a raw picture of their artworks.
3. The final video should be in .mp4 format. The output must be made through
the TikTok application only.
4. The final video should have a duration of not less than 2 minutes.

Direction:
1. Submit an application of participation by filling out the google form that
will be provided.
2. Choose an admired Filipino architect you want to draw.
3. Make sure that yourself is being recorded or filmed while doing the artwork
4. Edit and make the video creative using the TikTok app.
5. You can use a variety of effects to enhance your work but make sure that it
would not overlap or affect the quality of your output.
6. Submit the completed video and final photo in the form that will be
provided.

Criteria for Judging:

A. DRAWING/ILLUSTRATION

Creativity: 30%

Originality: 25%

Overall Presentation: 10%

Neatness: 5%
B. EDITING

Creativity (music, effects, etc): 20%

Architects have a greater task than designing buildings. They are

professionals which are uniquely positioned to improve the quality of living and
lifestyle. More than aesthetics, architects create solutions to sustain the existing
problems. To show gratitude for the architects that helped improve the world,
the participants of the competition will convey their ideas through digital
portraits. This will develop superior technical and artistic skills in the creation
of a wide range of two-dimensional graphics utilizing a variety of equipment.
This will demonstrate a thorough comprehension of the medium's technical as
well as artistic implications.
Mechanics:

1. Open for all UAPSA – BatStateU Members.

2. Only one (1) entry per participant.
3. Participants must be enrolled in BS Architecture at Batangas State University
– Alangilan Campus.
4. Participants must accomplish the Arkitek-toon Digital Art Competition
Registration Form through the link that will be provided.
5. Choose one of the famous architects in the world as a reference which will be
drawn digitally.
6. Any application or platform (photoshop, illustrator, ms paint, etc.) will be
allowed as long as the subject is drawn in digital form. Express your ideas and
creativity by recreating the Architect’s signature in his/her works through
portrait.
7. Output Requirements:
The output must be made through the TikTok App only.
The video duration is a maximum of 2 minutes only.
8. Submission:
 Participants should attach the TikTok video and the jpeg or png file of
their entry at the provided link.
 All entries must be submitted in the following filename format:
SECTION_SURNAME_DIGITAL
 All entries must be an original creation and should be submitted on the
given deadline of the officers.
9. Disqualification:
 Hand-drawn or painted images that have been scanned into digital format.
 GIFs and other animated or moving entries.
 Have been submitted in past competitions or have been used
commercially.
 Artwork that infringes on other people's intellectual property rights.

Evaluation of Architectural Significance to the Subject: 20%

Architects do not design buildings just for aesthetics. Each building tends
to have a story. A story on how they come up with their concepts and
design. This activity aims to promote awareness and to voice out the
experiences and life of Architecture students especially during this current
situation. This will develop creativity, confidence, and critical thinking of
students.
Mechanics:

1. Qualifications of participants:
a) Must be currently enrolled in BS Architecture at BatStateU.
b) One entry per section.

2. Output Requirements:
a. The output must be made through the TikTok application only.
b. The video duration is a maximum of 2 minutes only.
c. The theme is about your experience/s as an Architecture student or as a student
who experienced online learning.

3. Submission of Requirements:
a. The provided google link form must be filled out.
b. The output must be done prior to the filling out of form.
c. The deadline of the submission is to be announced

Content: 30%

Audience Impact: 10%
