I. Activity Details
What: Freshies Day
When: October 10, 2023, 8:00 am to 11:00 am
Where: Congregating Area
Who: Selected bona fide T.I.P. Freshmen students enrolled during 1st
semester of S.Y. 2023-2024
Theme: Freshies’s Day: Trailblazing The Path For New Adventure
Objectives:
● The main objective of the event is to conduct an event wherein T.I.P. Freshmen
students will be given the opportunity to interact with one another to further
develop community and connection in the broader T.I.P. community
● The event also aims to provide a platform for T.I.P.ians to showcase their
unique and wonderful personalities, skills, passion, and talent in different
aspects ranging from academic life to their life in general
● Freshies Day has a goal to expose lower year T.I.P. students to other
departments to build empathy and respect with each other.

INAUGURAL CHANT-OFF: FRESHIES UNITE

Mechanics
1. Participants must be a bonafide 1st year standing student, of the Technological
Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City. Transferees are allowed if the contestant is
enrolled as a first year student.
2. All colleges/departments are required to present a minimum of 30 to a maximum
of 40 participants. There are exceptions for colleges and departments with a low
number of enrollees. These departments will be paired to form a collaboration with
the other colleges with a low number of enrollees.
3. A Google Form link will be provided for the submission of lyrics per college or
department. All DSC officers are responsible for inviting the freshmen.
4. A Google Drive link will be provided for the submission of requirements. The link will
have two folders allotted for the participant’s requirements and lyrics.
Participant’s equipments:
A. Registration Form (1st semester S.Y. 2023-2024)
B. School I.D.
Note: A complete submission of these requirements will be considered as
registration for the contest.
5. Deadline for Registration and submission for Initial checking of lyrics will be on
October 7, 2023 until 5:00 pm.
6. Failure to submit lyrics on time will result in deduction of points.
7. The lyrics will be checked by the SSC Officers. Each college will be informed about
the approval of the lyrics on or before October 9, 2023 at 5:00 pm. In case of revision,
a final deadline for resubmission will be on October 9, 2023 at 9:00 pm. If there are
still violations with the lyrics submitted after the final deadline, 3 points will be
deducted from their score.
8. Freshman students may be accompanied by 1 - 2 officers from DSC, but not
included in the pointing criteria.

9. Performance should be at least 1 minute and maximum of 2 minutes.


10. Schedule/Sequence of performers will be based on a draw lots system and is final.
Switching of schedule with other performers is strictly prohibited and will be a
subject for a 3-points deduction.
11. Additional props may be used, including a bandana, sash, shades, etc. You may
state it in the Google Form link, any props are allowed as long as they're not against
the T.I.P. student handbook.
12. There are restrictions on props, including drum sets, use of fire, pyrotechnics,
devices that require the use of electronics, and restrictions on physical, dangerous
stunts (i.e., lifting, cartwheeling), etc.
13. It is advised that the participants should state their equipment to be used for the
contests upon registration. The Supreme Student Council will not be liable for any
violations that may occur if the equipment brought is not stated in the registration
link.
14. Any sexually-related, violent, obscene, or culturally blasphemous content is not
allowed. Foul language on all materials (including music, words, posters, etc.) is
strictly prohibited. Any unmannerly behavior or any actions taken during the event
that are stated above may result in a point deduction.

FRESHIES WALK

Mechanics
1. Participants must be a bonafide 1st year standing student, of the Technological
Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City. Transferees are allowed if the contestant is
enrolled as a first year student.
2. There should be 1 representative per department to claim their flags at the
registration area. The representative should show their ID so they could claim the
flaglets for the Freshmen Walk.
3. The freshmen walk will commence after the awarding ceremony.
4. The walk will conclude in the P.E. Center 1, right after the Freshmen Walk.
5. All selected participating students, leaders, faculty members, and staff will receive a
soft and hard copy of the certificate of appreciation/recognition by the end of the
event.

Small Flag
(These flag will be given to the freshman.
They are required to write their name,
student number, and program. The flags
will be collected for the raffle)

RAFFLE DRAW

Mechanics:
1. The raffle draw is open to all registered freshmen that are present during the day of
the event.
2. To join, they must be registered at the start of the event using the QR code or link
provided in the registration.
3. During the draw, participants must be present. If the participant is not present, a
re-draw will be conducted . If the participant does not have the flag but presents
during the event, the participant will receive a consolation prize.
4. Winners will be randomly selected from the registered names of the freshmen.
5. The names of the winners will be announced during the event. They will be required
to come forward and claim their prizes immediately.
