IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS IN THE CONDUCT OF THE

ACCOUNTANCY WEEK 2021: NON-ACADEMIC LEAGUE

IRR 1.0 BACKGROUND

IRR 1.1 The Non-Academic League is an annual event of the Accountancy


Week Celebration of MSU-IIT Junior Philippine Institute of
Accountants Local Chapter. This event aims to hone beyond the
academic skills of the JPIANS, as well as single out the most fitting
participants of our Local Chapter who will be representing us for the
Annual Regional Convention.

IRR 2.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES

IRR 2.1 The Non-Academic Events in accountancy week shall comprise


of the following:

➢ JPIANS GOT TALENT

➢ Fashion House

➢ SPEAK UP! Impromptu Speaking

➢ Mobile Legends

➢ Call of Duty Mobile

➢ Online Banner Making Contest


IRR 3.0 GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

IRR 3.1 The Non-academic events are open to all bona fide members of
the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants SY 2021-2022.
IRR 3.2 There is no limit as to the number of events a delegate can join.
IRR 3.3 The champions and the winners of a particular Non Academic
Events in the prior year(s) can still participate in the same event.

IRR 4.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

IRR 4.1 A duly accomplished master list of non-academic participants


should be submitted by the Level representatives. One sheet
per event.
IRR 4.2 A scanned copy of each participant’s Certificate of Registration
(containing the name, course, and school year) with the file
name:

IRR 4.3 Each year level must then compile all the requirements in a .zip
file and must be sent to msuiitjpia.nonacads@gmail.com on
or before September 16, 2021 in this format:

*Failure to submit the said requirements on the given date will
result in disqualification.

IRR 5.0 GENERAL CONTEST RULES AND MECHANICS

IRR 5.1 All concerns, clarifications, complaints, or questions must be


directly addressed to the Vice President for Non-Academics
after the competition by the Level Representative. Any
concerns, clarifications, complaints, or questions raised by any
student other than the Level Representative shall not be
entertained.
IRR 5.2 A draw lot system shall determine the order of the
performances.
This shall be done via spinning wheel on the first reading of
IRR, through the level representative.
IRR 5.3 All entries must be compiled in a Google drive and the link must
be sent to the Vice President of Non-Academic Affairs, Kharyle
Pullido, via messenger in this format:

IRR 5.4 In case if there are any concerns or protests which are not
covered in this IRR, the Local Chapter Federation and/or the
chairman of the non-academic league shall have the absolute
power and the sole authority to decide and interpret such
situation on the matters which is deemed necessary to preserve
and protect the integrity of the event.
The decision of the Local Chapter Officers and/or
chairman of the competition shall be final and irrevocable.

JPIANS GOT TALENT

1. JPIANs Got Talent is a talent competition among the MSU-IIT JPIAns


to give performances from singers, dancers, magicians, comedians
and other performers of different genres.
2. Each year level may only send one (1) entry for this category.
3. The participant/s can present any concept that would emphasize much
of his/her/their talent.
4. Participants can be solo. However, participants can form a group with a
maximum of eight (8) members.
5. The time frame of the whole talent presentation must be within a
minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 5 minutes.
6. Participants should maintain a wholesome presentation. Explicit
vulgarity in music, costume, dance steps, and language in the entire
presentation will strictly not be allowed and subject to disqualification.
7. Use of props and costumes to enhance the performance of the
representative/s shall be allowed.
8. Performance should be documented through a video and should not
exceed 5 minutes. In connection with the IATF and CHED guidelines
and advisory, the Culture and Sports committee mandates all
participants to follow health protocols at all times during the
preparation for the said competition.
9. The entry and video documentations to be sent should follow this
format:

9.1 Video Resolution: 720x480/24fps (minimum requirement) or


subject to participants’ discretion.
9.2 File Format: WMV, MPEG-4, AVI, FLV

10. The entry must be uploaded on or before September 17, 2021 11:59
PM in the designated Google drive folder to be given by the Vice
President for Non-Academic Affairs. The file name should be as
follows:

File name format: JGT_YEARLEVEL_NA

File name format (Documentation): JGT_BTS_YEARLEVEL_NA

11. All entries will be posted on the Official Facebook Page of MSU-IIT
JPIA on September 18, 2021 12:00PM. Moreover, posted entries will
be given forty-eight (48) hours to collect Facebook “WOW” reactions.
The cut-off time of the number of reactions will be on September 20 at
12PM. (750 reactions-10%, 401-749 8%, 0-400 5%)
12. There shall be a two (2) point deduction per judge per rule violation and
shall be made by the Chairman of the Board of tabulators duly
concerned by the members and in consultation with the Board of
Judges.
13. The criteria for Judging is as follows:

FASHION HOUSE

1. Each participating year level may send one (1) participant. They have
the prerogative to choose either a female or male model.
2. Each model must submit an entry of their respective photo shoot held
at their own place of residence in coordination with the theme provided
by the organizers.
3. Accessories are not limited to earrings or necklace, all props and
accessories needed to express their creativity is allowed.
4. Minimal editing is allowed such as adjusting the brightness, contrast,
and exposure. Filters are also allowed in editing the photos. Any editing
application is allowed. Extra elements are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
5. The entry must not include vulgar or obscene shot/s.
6. The theme of the photoshoot will be given 5 days before the
submission date.
7. The photo will be posted on the official page of MSU-IIT JPIA on
September 18,2021 at 10AM and will be given 2 days to collect
reactions from viewers. Note that the number of reactions is part of the
criteria of judging. Only HEART reactions will be counted. The cut-off
time of the number of reactions will be on September 20 at 10AM. (750
reactions-20%, 401-749 15%, 0-400 10%)
8. Photos must be submitted on September 17, 2021 at 11:59pm in the
format:

9. Failure to follow the above-mentioned rules and regulations shall


automatically be penalized with three (3) point deduction per judge.
10. In an effort to judge the contest objectively and equally, the following
criteria will be considered by the judges and assigned a point value in
each area:

SPEAK UP! Impromptu Speaking

1. Each year level should send one (1) representative.


2. There shall be one question for all the participants. The question shall
be read once, and at the same time flashed on the screen. The
contestant shall be obliged to answer the question immediately after it
was given.
3. Contestant shall be given two (2) to three (3) minutes to deliver their
speech, and shall be conducted through Zoom Conference Meeting.
4. Contestants shall be required to be in business attire during the
competition.
5. Speaker whose performance exceeds the given time shall receive a
0.5- point deduction in their average score within every ten (10)
seconds in excess of the maximum time.
6. English language must be the medium of expression.
7. To provide remedy for loss of internet connection, participants should
call the organizer via cellphone while being in the Zoom Room, and
simultaneously do both.
8. The event proper will be on September 18,2021 at 3pm. Details of the
Zoom meeting will be sent to their respective level representatives.
9. The criteria for Judging is as follows:

MOBILE LEGENDS

1. There should only be one (1) team per local chapter composed of five
(5) main players and one (1) reserved player. One of whom shall be
the team captain. Failure to comply shall be disqualified.
2. The mobile application to be used is Mobile Legends: BangBang
(Developer: Moonton).
3. The players must register day/s before the start of the contest proper
and must present their school I.D, together with their respective ML
IDN and IGN. Players who failed to register will not be allowed to play.
List of official players must be submitted on or before September 12,
2021 at 11:59PM.
4. A tournament marshall will be the one to host the games. Teams will
be given a 10-minute grace period to enter the lobby. Failure to do so
will result in an automatic forfeit of the violating team. If after 10
minutes, both teams suffer the absence of a team member, whoever
has the most players in their team will take the default win.
5. The schedule for the games shall be announced days before the event.
All matches will be played in a Facebook Live on the Official Facebook
Page of MSU-IIT JPIA. The championship will take place on
September 19, 2021 at 4pm.
6. The game mode to be used is Custom Game: Draft Mode.
7. The format in which the games will be played is Double Eliminations.
8. To determine the winning team, they should destroy the opposing
team’s base or force them to surrender.
9. Participating teams must have their own gadgets and internet or data
connection.
10. Any disconnection during the match is not a valid reason to stop the
game, however, the said player can reconnect as soon as possible.
Pausing of the game is not allowed.
11. Trash talking, bashing and/or any violent action/messages towards
other players shall be ground for disqualification of the violator’s team.
Battle Emotes are allowed.
12. Cheating, hacks, MODs, third party applications are not allowed and
shall be subject to disqualification.
13. Teams are prohibited to replace any of the registered players including
reserved players.

CALL OF DUTY: MOBILE


1. There should be three (3) teams per year level composed of five (4)
main players and one (1) reserved player. One of whom shall be the
team
captain. Failure to comply shall be disqualified.
2. The mobile application to be used is Call of Duty: Mobile (Developer:
Garena)
3. The players must register day/s before the start of the contest proper
and must present their school I.D, together with their respective CODM
IGN. Players who failed to register will not be allowed to play. List of
official players must be submitted on or before September 15, 2021 at
11:59PM.
4. A tournament marshall will be the one to host the game. Teams will be
given a 10-minute grace period to enter the lobby. Failure to do so will
result in an automatic forfeit of the violating team/s.
5. There will only be one (1) match for the entire event. The schedule of
the match will be on September 19, 2021 at 7pm. The match will be
played in a Facebook Live on the Official Facebook Page of MSU-IIT
JPIA.
6. The game mode to be used is Battle Royale. The map used will be
Classic Map.
7. The top 3 teams shall be determined by the last three (3) team
members remaining in the battlefield. Consequently, the winning team
will be determined by where the last player standing belongs.
8. Participating teams must have their own gadgets and internet or data
connection.
9. Any disconnection during the match is not a valid reason to stop the
game, however, the said player MUST reconnect as soon as possible.
Pausing of the game is not allowed.
11. Trash talking, bashing and/or any violent action/messages towards
other players shall be grounds for disqualification of the violator’s team.
10. Cheating, hacks, MODs, third party applications are not allowed and
shall be subject to disqualification. Cheating doesn't need to be
successful to qualify as a violation. Conspiring to cheat is already a
violation and will lead to an automatic disqualification for all
conspirators. Examples of cheating include, but aren't limited to:
Ghosting, Account Sharing, Piloting.
13. Teams are prohibited to replace any of the registered players including
reserved players.
ONLINE BANNER MAKING CONTEST

1. Any member of the local chapter can participate but only one (1) entry
per year level is allowed.
2. The entries shall coincide with the theme, “Unleashing the JPIAn's
inner ACCThletes” while emphasizing their Team Name and Logo.
The color scheme of the banner will be given 5 days before the event.
3. Entries should NOT be published or uploaded in any social media
platforms before the date of submission.
4. Any medium (e.g. Adobe Photoshop and Paint) used in producing the
entry is allowed.
5. The entries shall be sent as a Landscape JPEG file with image size of
Width: 4096 Height: 2048 pixels (Set to RGB + 100 minimum
resolution if available).
6. The entries must include but not limited to the following:
• Event Name: Accountancy Week
• Theme: “Unleashing the JPIAn's inner ACCThletes”
• Date: September 13 - September 20, 2021
• MSU-IIT JPIA and Eximius Logo
• Team Name and Team Logo
7. Participants should download the packet containing the following:
• IRR of the Online Banner Making Contest
• MSU-IIT JPIA Logo
• Eximius Logo
8. There shall be a two (2) point deduction per judge per rule violation and
shall be made by the Chairman of the Board of tabulators duly
concerned by the members and in consultation with the Board of
Judges.
9. Participants are allowed to use premade vectors, images, templates
etc. to create their original layout designs provided that they submit the
list of attributions/link/references for the materials used in PDF form.
Maximum of 10 references are allowed. Integrity must always be
maintained when attributing/referencing your artworks. (0-3 references:
10%, 4-7 references: 8%, 8-10 references: 5%)
10. The final entries and the references should be sent on or before
September 17, 2021 at 11:59 PM to

Note: The JPEG/PDF File must be renamed. Do not enter this format
as an email subject or message. Typographical errors will not be
considered. This notice serves as your warning.

11. Entries will be posted by the MSU-IIT JPIA on their Official Facebook
page, twitter account and instagram accounts starting from September
18, 2021 11AM to gather “Love” reactions. Using of autolikes will be
subject to disqualification. Entries can also be posted on Twitter and
Instagram but only posts coming from the official MSU-IIT JPIA
platforms (Official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) will only be
counted in the end. (750 reactions 10%, 401-749 5%, 0-400 3%)
12. The following judging rubric will be used:

Application of personal artstyle, innovation, imagination, originality etc. 30%
Presentation and Appearance;
Color mix and appeal of design, details, effort, utilization of workspace etc.30%
Relevance to the Theme; 20%
Resourcefulness;
Less use of premade vectors, templates etc. (from scratch > premade) 10%
Relatability;
Social Media Heart Reactions (Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram) 10%

13. The total count of Heart reactions from the main post of the banners on
the three social media platforms will be combined. The counting of
reactions shall end on September 20, 2021 11AM.
14. The winning entries will be announced during the Accountancy Week
Awarding Ceremony.
