2021
1. The participants of the 2021 Online Regional Skillympics will showcase their best
products and performances in the different events as evidence of their learning in the
different learning areas based on the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC)
through Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP).
2. The 2021 Online Regional Skillympics shall showcase talents and skills of learners
of the following areas/events:
2.1. COOKERY for TECHNOLYMPICS;
2.2. LIKHAWITANG TANGHAL AND DANCE FOR SINING
TANGHALAN;
2.3. PINAGHANDAANG TALUMPATI FOR PAMBANSANG
TAGISAN NG TALENTO;
2.4. SPEECH EXHIBITIO FOR THE SPECIAL PROGRAM IN
FOREIGN LANGUAGE (SPFL);
2.5. ORATORICAL SPEECH FOR POPULATION DEVELOPMENT;
2.6. QUR’AN READING FOR MUSABAQAH;
2.7. VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS FOR LEARNERS WITH
DISABILITIES (LWDs); and
2.8. STEMAZING FOR SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING
AND MATHEMATICS.
5. Only one (1) entry per event per division shall be accepted at the regional level duly
endorsed by Schools Division Superintendent.
6. The school’s division office has its own selection process to ensure the quality of all
entries at the regional level, but the Division shall always ensure the safety of
participants; observe maximum health protocols and adhere to the Inter-Agency Task
Force (IATF) guidelines and DepED policies in the conduct of any activity involving
learners and DepEd personnel in the new normal set up to wit:
6.1. No face-to-face in the conduct of any school, district, division, or
regional-based activities. Blended coaching and mentoring at the school,
district, and division level is allowed if there is a permit from the LGU and
any authorities and waiver from the parents.
6.2. Planning, selection, and conduct of skillympics shall be virtual/online.
6.3. Participation is voluntary.
6.4. Certification of observance of all protocols set by the IATF and
DepED in the conduct of School/District and Division selection duly
signed by SDS shall be submitted to the Regional Office-Attention CLMD
to ensure compliance with protocols.
8. The Regional Office will select the Top 3 Best Audio-Visual Presentation per event.
9. Performers and all others involved shall receive certificates of participation and
recognition

CONTENT
1. Does the entry demonstrate/show learner’s 10
mastery of identified MELC-Based, its
significance, and potential impact to the learners?
2. Is the topic/presentation communicated in a format 10
and uses language appropriate for all audiences?
3. Is the entry free from jargon, unexplained 5 40%
acronyms, and incomprehensible technical terms?
4. Is the entry free from plagiarism, social 5
discrimination, and gender sensitivity?
5. Does it make a good first impression and then 10
offer rich content on further assessment?
IMPACT
1. Is the entry well designed, creative, innovative, 4
and engaging?
2. Is it visually striking and memorable? 4

11. Each division shall submit their Audio-Visual presentation (AVP) in every event with
a maximum of five (5) minutes including a short introduction. The material should be
in high definition 1280 x 720 30 fps video format or a video of good broadcasting
quality in MP4 format. Follow the sample file name: Event_Division_2021ORS
(e.g. Technolympics_SDOBATANES_2021ORS). The Schools Division Coordinator
shall submit the audio visual presentation per event/category to the CLMD via email
through clmd.region2@deped .gov.ph.
12. The timelines for the conduct of the Skillympics shall be as follows:
