I. INTRODUCTION
The General Assembly will be the inaugural event to welcome the newly lauded
federation for this academic year. The event upholds the theme of “A Coterie of Flair:
Unleashing the Magic Within” which signifies the Disney-inspired aptitudes, exceptional
skills, and abilities of every student, bringing them in the limelight for the very first time
and in a new and exciting way. It seeks to gather and welcome all B.S. Accountancy
students and form a bond within the organization. This event fosters a feeling of excitement
and revelation, as the audience will get a chance to witness the enchantment and panache
of these performers as they unveil their distinctive talents beyond academic pursuits.

II. OBJECTIVES
a. Strengthen the will of every student to still pursue BSA as their course.
b. To offer an opportunity for participants to showcase their artistic half.
c. To exemplify the vision of being paragons by involving the participants in a variety of
activities.
d. To re-establish the relationship amongst JPIANs and develop camaraderie among them.

III. GENERAL ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION


The activities for the General Assembly are open to all enrolled (Academic Year
2023 – 2024) students of PLV Department of Accountancy and bona fide members of
Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela.
IV. GENERAL ASSEMBLY ACTIVITIES

A. COMPETITIONS
1. Each section per year level is required to participate in the singing contest while only
first year to third year students are required to participate in the dance contest.
2. Performances that contain profanity, vulgarity, or offensive language are forbidden
and are subject to disqualification.
3. Only those who registered for the contests will be the only participants of the activities.
4. Order of performances will be based on the number picked through the online roulette
wheel prior to the start of the contest.
5. The contests and the awarding of the winners will be conducted during the General
Assembly on September 11, 2023.

B. OTHER PROVISIONS
1. The JPIA-PLV does not acknowledge any form of plagiarism. Participants found guilty
of such actions will be automatically disqualified from the competition.
2. Any reports of such offense will be subjected to a fair and thorough review by the set of
evaluation panels.

C. GENERAL GUIDELINES – DANCE CONTEST

RULES AND MECHANICS


1. The entries for the Dance Contest shall uphold the theme of “A Coterie of Flair: Unleashing
the Magic Within” showcasing the skillful nature of B.S. Accountancy students despite the
challenges they may face.
2. The competition is required for 1st to 3rd Year BSA students. Students from 4th year are
still highly encouraged to join. Each section from the said year level is required to have
a minimum of seven (7) and a maximum of fifteen (15) representatives each.
3. Participants are free to choose any dance genre for their performance.
4. The performance must be at least 3 minutes but not more than 5 minutes. Performance
that will fall outside the time frame shall be subject to (10) ten points deduction.
5. Music to be used shall be submitted on or before September 9, 2022 (Saturday) at
8:00PM through email in “.mp3” format. Make sure to rename the file indicating your
year and section. Failure to submit the music on or before the deadline shall
automatically be disqualified.

6. The choreography must be nonpartisan or non-political, and should not be vulgar,
dangerous, and must not contain any subliminal or sexual act. Failure to follow this
rule shall automatically be disqualified.
7. Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program and
any harm to the performance of other groups. Props such as liquid, oil, confetti,
pyrotechnics gadgets, smoke generators or combustible material, broken glass, sharp
objects, and the like are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Any planned use of props must be
notified to the organizing committee during the registration process. Failure to follow
this rule shall automatically be disqualified.
8. All entries shall be performed live during the 1st General Assembly on September 11,
2023 at Maysan Auditorium.
9. Criteria for Judging

10. The entries with the highest number of scores shall take the form of the champion and
runners-up.

D. GENERAL GUIDELINES – SINGING CONTEST

RULES AND MECHANICS


1. The entries for the Singing Contest shall uphold the theme of “A Coterie of Flair:
Unleashing the Magic Within” showcase the skillful nature of B.S. Accountancy students
despite the challenges they may face.
2. Each section per year level shall participate and is required to have (1) one
representative per section. It can be a solo or group performance with a maximum of
5 members only.
3. The song may be in Filipino, English, or both.
4. The lyrics must be nonpartisan, non-political, and should not contain vulgar,
malicious, and sexual words. Failure to follow this rule shall automatically be
disqualified.
5. Participants are free to choose any music genre or style.
6. Participants should only use minus one as background music for their performance. Use
of any kind of musical instruments is not allowed.

7. The performance must be at least 2 minutes long but not longer than 5 minutes.
Performances that will fall outside the time frame shall be subject to (10) ten points
deductions.
8. All minus one and song lyrics must be submitted on or before September 9, 2023
(Saturday), at 8:00 PM through email in a “.pdf” and “.mp3” format. Font Style:
Arial; Font Size: 12; Spacing: 1.15; Justified. This will serve as a guide to the judges as
mastery is part of the criteria for judging. Late submission is subject to deductions and
failure to submit shall automatically mean disqualification.

V. EFFECTIVITY
This Implementing Rules and Regulations shall take its effect immediately after the
presentation to the event. Promulgated in the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela this
11th day of September, 2023.
