My Observational Journal

Being a teacher is my great ambition. Reaching it may

not be as easy it may seem. On the first day of my observation, I

went to Anderson Elementary School to submit my endorsement

letter to Principal. I was welcomed by Anderson Elementary

School faculty staff. There I met Mr. Carlo D. Castro, the School

Principal introduced me to most of the teacher present at the

time and passed his my Endorsement Letter from my school. He

endorsed me to Ms. Cherrylou Pagulayan, Kinder Level teacher

to be my resource teacher. I was nervous and filled with

excitement at the same time. I graduated elementary at this

same school and I can’t keep reminiscing my childhood days as

I see the adorable children waiting for their teacher. The school

has improved a lot compared from the time I was still studying

here. Ms. Pagulayan then invited me to her class and introduced

me to her students. I was amazed on how Ms. Pagulayan

managed to calm them despite their excitements. I thought that

it would be of great advantage if I learn how to do that. Ms.

Pagulayan get me a seat and observed her and student for the

following hours. The first thing that get my attention, those

different attractive materials that paste on the wall, like different

parts of the body, different shapes and different colors. The

surroundings inside the room is very colorful which is good for

the preschoolers that can get their attention to inspire them to

learn.
