Card Giving Day

I've always looked forward to the card giving day or card showing because I am always excited to see my
grades and show those who support my education that I am not wasting all of their sacrifices for me and for my
daily school allowance or for some school expenses, such as school supplies, school projects, or some school
activities that also require expenses.

On our card-giving day, my parents received my report card from my school teacher, and then they had a
parents and teachers meeting, which I don't understand because I'm with my school classmates discussing our
grades. I'm a little worried because I'm thinking, "What if I get a fail or low grades?”. My parents were overjoyed
to see that I, their daughter, was responsible in school and received passing grades. As a reward for my hard work
in getting good grades, my parents and I take me to a fast-food restaurant.

When they told me they were very proud of me, I was both overwhelmed and overjoyed. I am grateful to
have such parents who go out of their way to ensure that I do not suffer in life as I grow, taking every little step
to find my purpose or pursue my goals and become what I have aspired to be in the near future.
