Diary Entry – November 20, 2023

On my first day of school, I felt a mix of excitement and confidence as I walked

through the hallway, eager to step in a new academic journey. Stepping into

the classroom, I was greeted by unfamiliar faces and a whisper of excitement.

The teacher introduced themselves, tracing our journey together for the year

23-24.

As the day goes by, I quickly realized that seventh grade would be different

from my previous years of schooling. The subjects became more harder, and

the workload seemed a lot. However, I WAS determined to embrace the

challenges and make the most of this new academic adventure. At breaktime,

the canteen clattered with laughter. Friendships were built and renewed as

other students in PNHS shared stories of their summer adventures. It was a

time for reconnecting with old friends and new bonds to connect. I even made

friends along my walk to the canteen, it is indeed an exciting experience for

future freshies like us this school year. It is filled with nervousness and

excitement, yet a fun one. Laughing together, sharing stories and secrets,

studying together, goofing off between classes, engaging in spirited debates,

supporting each other through ups and downs, creating lifelong memories,

forging unbreakable bonds, and cherishing the remarkable friendships that

bloom within the walls of our beloved school. During our time with friends in

school, we engage in various activities that improve our experiences. We

participate in quizzes, testing our knowledge and challenging one another’s

intellectual prowess. Reciting in class allows us to showcase our understanding

and demonstrate excellence in our studies. Periodical assessments evaluate

our progress and encourage us to strive for continuous improvement.

Additionally, visiting a friend’s house expands our interactions beyond the

school, fostering deeper connections and creating new memories and I like my

friend group because of that. These activities enhance our social and academic

growth, creating an educational journey that extends past the boundaries of

the school. Exploring new places alongside friends is a simple joy. Discovering

parks or cafes infuse our lives with excitement and fresh experiences. Whether

it’s an outing adventure, going to different places with friends adds an element

of fun and shared discoveries, making our time together even more special. The

day preceding the long-awaited report card day is a blend of emotions and

introspection for students. We’ve also become really nervous and keep thinking

what will be the results of our subject’s gradings. We then walked into the

classroom, parents waiting for our adviser to tell the results of our grades and

those students who got in the honor list. During the awardings or recognition,

I’ve felt really disappointed in myself, all I feel that time is a feeling that you

can’t express. A feeling that you can’t tell if you’re sad or mad or disappointed

in yourself ‘cause all those sleepless nights and pressures weren’t good enough

to make you strive harder or be at the top. Therefore, I accepted the fact that

my efforts were not yet enough to get in the list. And in this second quarter I

promised myself that I should do it better this time and be more attentive than

ever. I STILL APPRECIATE the teachers because even though we don’t

understand the lesson, they are still willing to teach us better than most. Yes,

we are mostly really annoying and noisy but they are still insisting to teach and

not get tired of us. I love the teachers.
