Lesson 10

1
Starter
Work in pairs and write down what you think
makes a good computer game.

2
Objective of the lesson
Evaluate your computer games.

• All of you will:

– Give basic feedback on each others’ computer games.
• Most of you will:
– Write a detailed self evaluation.
• Some of you will:
– Understand how the skills you have learnt in this
project can be used in other areas of study.

3
Star Graph
• You are going to use a “Star
Graph” to help you evaluate
each others’ games.
• Place a mark along each of
the “spokes” to show how
well that objective has been
met; the further from the
centre, the better the
objective has been met.
• Join the marks to complete
the graph.

4
Peer Evaluations
• Play each others’ computer
games and complete one
sheet for each game you play.
• Complete the Star Graph and
also write how they could
improve their game.
• You will have time to evaluate
more than one game so
complete one sheet for each
game you evaluate.

5
Self Evaluation
• Complete an evaluation
sheet about your own
game.
• Fill in the star graph and
write about how you
could make an
improvement to your
own game.

6
Plenary
Send an email to your teacher and
answer the following questions:
1. What did people think you did well in your game?
2. What did people think you didn't do so well in
your game?
3. How could your game be improved?
4. What skills have you learnt from this project that
you can use in other subjects?
