All outlet oil from the torque converter oil cooler goes through a line to oil inlet (29). The oil goes
through passage (28) to passage (21) in the input shaft. Some of the oil in passage (28) goes through
passage (25) in order to lubricate bearing (23).

The oil from passage (28) flows to planetary shafts (27). Planetary shafts (27) have drilled passages
which allow the oil to flow to the bearings. The oil flows around the bearings for the planetary shafts.

Oil also flows from the holes in the ends of planetary shafts (27). Then, the oil flows to bearings (4)
and (26). Oil also flows through internal passages in order to lubricate the discs and the plates of the
No. 2 clutch.

Oil from passage (28) fills oil chamber (18). Oil flows from oil chamber (18) through passage (20).
From passage (20), the oil flows through holes in coupling (1) and ring gear (3) in order to lubricate
the discs and the plates of the No. 1 clutch.

Oil flows from passage (21) in the input shaft into the area between the input shaft and the output
shaft. This oil lubricates bearing (7). Oil flows from the area between the shafts through passage (32)
and into oil chamber (9). The oil in oil chamber (9) lubricates bearings (10) and (31). The oil in oil
chamber (9) also flows into planetary shafts (30) and (33) .

Planetary shafts (30) have drilled passages which allow the oil to flow to the bearings. The oil is also
used to lubricate the discs and the plates of the No. 3 clutch.

Planetary shafts (33) have drilled passages which allow the oil to flow to the bearings. The oil is also
used to lubricate the discs and the plates of the No. 4 clutch.

The oil in the area between the input shaft and the output shaft also flows through passage (22). From
passage (22), the oil flows through passage (34). This oil then flows through holes in rotating hub (13)
in order to lubricate the discs and the plates of the No. 5 clutch. Oil also flows through holes in ring
gear (11) in order to lubricate the discs and the plates of the No. 4 clutch.

Oil flows from oil inlet (29) through internal passages in the transmission to passage (12). From
passage (12), the oil flows through passage (14). From passage (14), the oil flows through passage
(15). The oil then flows through passage (15) into the passages of planetary shafts (19). The oil from
passage (15) also lubricates bearing (24) .

The planetary shafts (19) have drilled passages which allow the oil to flow to the bearings. The oil
flows around the bearings for the planetary shafts. Oil also flows from the holes in planetary shafts
(19). Then, the oil flows through holes in ring gear (16). Then, the oil lubricates the discs and the
plates of the No. 6 clutch.

The restrictions inside the transmission keep the lubrication pressure of the warm oil at approximately
140 kPa (20 psi).

All clutch leakage oil and return lubrication oil goes to the bottom of the transmission case. This oil
goes to the main oil reservoir in the output gear case.
