STUDENT COUNCIL SEMESTRAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Greetings Ka-Konseho! The first semester has ended but our love and support to you excellent
ones will never end. Thus, we present to you this semestral accomplishment report to keep
everyone updated. Here is a rundown of activities, projects and events that we have conducted
this first half of the academic year 2019-2020.

ENROLLMENT

The Student Council has always been your guide to ensure that everyone will be able to
smoothly process their enrollment. We made sure that all your inquiries about the process will be
entertained and answered. We also relayed your concerns to the administration regarding
petition and other academic matters. We also provided free ice cream for everyone since we
know how long it takes to complete the enrollment process. Through this effort, we made sure
that no one is left behind in the process.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY

With our efforts to make sure everyone is involved, the Student Council conducted a General
Assembly. This was broadcasted live through Facebook so that everyone is informed about what
matters were discussed. There was also a dialogue with the students and the administration
regarding administrative matters such as the unsettled tuition fee balances appearing in our SIS
accounts. Through this event, we were able to voice out all our concerns to the administration
who also gave their answers to such queries. Lastly, we presented to the student body our
General Plan of Action for this academic year to inform you about our future projects and events.
FIRST WEEK OF CLASSES ORIENTATIONS

Through the initiative of the Office of the Dean to ensure that everyone is full prepared for this
semester, a series of orientation was conducted in partnership with the Student Council. There
was an English Proficiency Seminar. Bar Techniques and Methods Seminar and even a Wellness
Seminar which all students participated in these activities.

RETROACT: COLLEGE NIGHT 2019

In celebration of PUP College of Law’s 18th Founding Anniversary, the Office of the Dean and
the Student Council hosted the 2019 College Night. It was attended by students and law
professors who dressed up to the theme “if you were not a law student what would you be?”. It
was a night of fun and music as students and professors presented on stage for everyone to enjoy.
The event was also breather after a dreadful midterms week.
SPORTS FEST 2019

The day after College Night was the day to prove who will reign supreme in a battle of wits and
stamina as the Student Council hosted the annual Sports Fest. Four teams fought to become the
ultimate champion but to a surprise two teams won. Congratulations again Red and Blue Team.
There was also a friendly competition of volleyball and basketball between students and law
professors. In the end, everyone enjoyed being with their friends and team members while trying
their best to win for their team and new relationships were created.
SC CARES

As the semester ends, everyone has become weary and tired but we made sure everyone will feel
loved and appreciated. Thus, we prepared little treats for you to be recharged and make sure to
keep that fire burning.

HAPPY TO SERVE

You have voted for us. Thus, it is our duty to make sure that we fulfill our responsibilities as
officers. We have opened the student council office to everyone. We made sure that every day
the water dispenser is available to quench your thirst. We sold certain items which are essential
to our daily law school life from pens, sticky notes and of course test booklets. We even installed
clocks in each classroom. We made sure that as much as possible an SC officer will be there to
take your concerns.

The semester has ended but we will not stop in making your stay in the PUP College of Law
worth it. Thus, watch out for more projects, activities or events that we will be doing this second
semester.

Muli, maraming salamat sa walang sawang pagsuporta mga Ka-Konseho!
