Anne Frank Choice Board Directions and Point Value

Below is a list of directions and requirements that need to be completed for you to receive full credit on
your choiceboard options. Each option is worth 10 points.
You will choose 3 options and complete all of them by November 22, 2019. This gives you 3 weeks to
complete the entire assignment. The total of 90 points will count as one project grade, which will
account for 15% of your Language Arts grade.

Option #1 (10 points)

The letter is typed and free of errors. (5 points)
The assignment is formatted as a friendly letter. (2 points)
The letter contains several detailed sentences. (2 points)
This assignment will be shared with teacher via google docs. (1 point)

Option #2 (10 points)

The canva must include a picture and 3 quotes from the book. (4 points)
Each quote must be supported with detailed sentences. (3 points)
The project must free from errors. (2 points)
This will be shared to teacher via email. ( 1point)

Option #3 (10 points)

Draw picture of what it will look like. You may use crayons, paints, colored pencils or markers. (5 points)
Indicate your plan with the following in a one page typed document (5 points)
 What materials will you use?
 How large will it be?
 How will you landscape the grounds around your monument?
 What kind of ceremony will you have do dedicate it?
 Where will your monument stand?

Option #4 (10 points)

Respond to writing prompt on Padlet on the 7th grade Google classroom site.
Your response must be 7-10 detailed sentences and free of errors. (8 points)
Respond to two other students. (2 points)

Option #5 (10 points)

Create character cards for 2 characters from Anne Frank.
Include name of the character, a picture of what your character looks like, (you may draw or use a picture
from the internet). (5 points)
Include a detailed description of the character. Include a quote from the book. Description must be 5-7
sentences. Sentences must be free from errors. (5 points)

Option #6 (10 points)

Research several events that led up to Jewish people having to go into hiding during WWII.
Make a digital timeline outlining the events. (4 points)
You need to have 7-10 events on the timeline. (4 points)
All typed work must be free from errors. (1 point)
Send the finished timeline to me via email. (1 point)
Option #7 (10 points)
Research the Anti-Jewish Decrees and follow the directions in the choiceboard.
Create a Prezi with your research and answer the questions. (5 points)
Include at least 3 pictures. ( 4 points)
All typed work must be free from errors. (1 point)

Option #8 (10 points)

Follow directions in the choiceboard and spend 1 hour in your room.
Write a ¾ page journal entry that describes your experience. (4 points)
Answer the questions from the choiceboard. (5 points )
All written work must be free of errors. (1 point)

Option #9 (10 points)

Choose one of the themes that Anne Frank wrote about in her diary and write a story, draw a picture, or
write a poem relating the theme you chose.

Picture must be colored with markers, crayons, paints, or colored pencils. ( 5 points)
You must include a short description explaining your picture. (5 points)

OR

Story or poem must be at least one page typed. (5 points)

All typed work must be one free from errors. (5 points)
