 CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study

We came up to this study because as we all now our country is one of the victim of
dengue and other diseases cause by mosquito and also to accept the fact that we have a polluted
surrounding that cause the mosquito to grow on a larger population as well as the victims by
mosquito disease so we need more protection against the disease and virus . Our team think to
innovate a product that is more environmental friendly and more effective than the old one , we
use the product off lotion as a main subject to our product but the difference between our product
and Off lotion product is ; our product is used by spraying it and not putting it on the skin plus ,
the old product is not friendly to baby skin because in our investigation it makes our skin rough
because the substance is clogging to the pores in our skin especially to baby skin and also it is
buy by sachets so it is not eco-friendly so we suggest that we make a new product that is more
environmental friendly .

Statement of the Problem

Our county is now suffering from any disease caused by mosquito and many people
are affected to the disease and as we all notice that mosquito disease are increasing year by year
and in this case many people are involve ; they are infected which is a big struggle to their daily
living and in some worse case some people are dying because of the disease.
Hypothesis
Null : The product is not successful .
Alternative : The product is successful.

Significance of the Study

If the product is made successfully many consumers will benefits such as the families
who protect their love ones , the workers who need to be strong to earn what they needed , the
kids who is the one playing around and other people who hates to catch a virus cause by
mosquito that is one of major cause that affects he people’s daily living .

Scope and Limitation

We will used some substance such as the product off lotion that we will add some
features of oregano for stronger fragrance , lemon grass as well for just an additional smell and
other substance that is helpful for this project .
Conceptual Framework

Definition of Terms
Oregano leaves – it is a mint that has a strong smell ; also known as an insect repellent to some
provinces.
Lemon grass – it is actually a leaves that is used as an ingredients , but it has a mist that is also
strong .
Off lotion – a product that is an insect repellent applied to the skin .
Mosquito – an insect that lays eggs on a ground or stock waters , It carries disease such as
dengue and other harmful virus that makes a person have a disease .
