Family Day

“A Harmonious Family Life for a Peaceful Community.”

Narrative:
On this day, GSP of Mandili II showed importance to the family as the basic unit of the society that
molds every individual’s growth and well-being, by having a one-day family gathering.
GSP members held a short program for the family to enjoy spending time together. They brought food
and beverages in the school. They shared their food to one another and ate together at exactly 12 noon.
Day 2 - September 17, 2012

GIRLS’ Day
Theme for the day:
“Stop the Violence – Start with Myself.”

6 – 9 yrs. old & 9 – 12 yrs. old;

Narrative:
Scout members designed or jazzed up an old shirt using their creativeness. They use cloth patches,
buttons, and recyclable materials in the design that described their stand against Violence.

COMMUNITY Day
Theme for the day:
“Be the Change you Want to See.”
Participants:

 Young girls who were not girls members.
Narrative:
Girls Scout members had “Fun Walk For A Cause” activity. They invited young girls who were not Girl
Scout members in the community to join. In their parade, they brought placards and showed them to the
community.
Day 4 - September 19, 2012

Self – image day
Theme for the day:
“My Ways Mirror My Self –Esteem”

Narrative:
Scout members on this date started designing and writing their own journal about what they like
and dislike about themselves. In this way, Girl Scout will eventually know who they really are and evaluate
their positive and negative points for their own improvement and development.
Day 5 - September 20, 2012

“Remembering Our Great Founder. ”

Narrative:
Mandili II Girls Scout Members, Leaders together with the Faculty members and pupils
commemorated the great deeds of a heroine and founder of Girl Scout of the Philippines – Josefa Llanes
Escoda. They conducted program to honor and salute her on this day which is known as “Escoda Day.” Star
Scouts and Junior Scouts led the program. They showed their talents in dancing, singing, and reciting poems.
They also presented their yell by troop. Furthermore, they recited their promises and laws in scouting.
