How To Make a

Dice
Created by Mac Irvine
Step One: Cutting the main piece

First I cut the piece to a 1in by 1in cube, I would mill of about .25 inches off so it would be a
.75 inch cube all around.
Step Two: Milling

I used a milling machine to mill the cube on all

sides unitl they were about .75 inches. This took
quite a while since I had to take time measuring
the cube each time I milled it so I wouldn’t mill to
much off. I also had to make small passovers so I
wouldn’t damage the bit.
Step Three: Chamfer the Dice

Next I chamfered the dice to make the

edges less rough and feel better when
holding it. I used a grinder in place of a
chamfer machine since it was
non-operational. It still produced a good
finish to the dice and made it look less
scrappy and more professional.
Step Four: Making the Dots

I made the dots using a drill machine and

marked each side of the cube to which
dots would go where. It was difficult to
line up the dots to be symetrical with each
other, however it turned out really good.
