My name is T. Kalaiselvi and I am a middle school teacher working in PUPS

Mutharasanllur. I am taking classes for the students of 2nd standard. I have 29
students in my class. The SLM kit box has been really helpful while taking math
classes for the students. The number rods have been helpful for the students in
understanding the concepts of ascending and descending orders. While teaching
addition, subtraction and place value, the addition subtraction boards along with
the beads chain equipment have been really helpful. Using the abacus instrument
children are solving the mathematical problems easily. I am thankful for
introducing this SLM kit box to the students and making them to learn maths in an
easy way.

My name is P.Sarguru and I am a student of PUPS Mutharasanallur studying in the

2nd standard. I love to learn mathematics. Using the number rods for learning my
concepts has been very useful and exciting. My interest in maths ahs increased
beacuse of this. I use the bead chains along with my friends and solve the
problems.It is a fun activity. Using abacus i have learned to do addition and
subtraction easily. Due to this my mother sends me to the shop and I am able to
buy things and pay the bills correctly. This gives me happiness. This SLM kit box
has given us happiness and excitement ion learning mathematics.
