INTRODUCTION
ABSTRACT
The researchers’ study was all about
how to neutralize an acidic soil. In this
study, the researchers used telescope
shells in order to neutralize an acidic soil
with a pH level of 5.5. The study had four
(4) set- ups with three (3) replicates of
three (3) samples. Over all the researchers
had 9 samples per set-up. There were 350g
of soil with different amount of shells per
each set-up. The researchers used a small
shovel and a basin in applying or mixing
the treatment to the soil. The study went
well but the researchers only test it for one
week and it resulted so low that some of
the set-ups were acidic and some of it
were neutral after the experiment. The
researchers recorded the results and
computed the average. The researchers
also gathered the average results of each
day and computed for the average. The
researchers tested again the soils using a
pH meter after 2 months and the pH level
of the soil increased. The soils were
neutralized but it became basic. The
researchers weren’t able to gather the
result in which all the soils became
neutral. But after 2 months, Set-up C has
the best result with an average of 7.4.
METHODOLOGY
The Philippines is a bold and beautiful place to visit with
unique topography & geological features. The good thing when it
comes to the soils in the Philippines is the fertility that enables
crops to grow such as rice, coconuts, corns, etc. These things
will only be possible if the soil is neutralized. But because of the
factors that affect the soil, such as climate, mineral content, and
soil texture, certain places in the Philippines has an acidic soil.
The pH level of a soil is really important because this will \
determine whether a certain plant will grow healthy or not. Soil
pH may also affect the availability of plant nutrients. The acidity
of the soil may also cause in the increase of mortality rate of
plants. Taking good care of your soil will be essential to keep its
neutrality. The objective of this study is to use Telescopium
telescopium (Telescope Shells) as pH neutralizer for soil.The Gathering of the

only the farmers but also the community including people who
loves gardening and people who are experiencing a low or high
pH level in their soil. It provides people an alternative ways in
