TARGETING

a) Geographic

According to PROMPERU (2017), visitors can be classified


geographically according to their place of origin in national vacationers. This
project will focus on this type of tourist who visits Tarapoto specifically the
Vacationer Lima and Callao as its main demand (62%) and for having more
use of tourist services and interests to know local tourist attractions,
generating a higher level of spending during your stay.

b) Demographic

Directed both men and women of the X generation (37-59 years old),
with an average age of 37 years, of status marital: Not part of a couple (Never
married, divorced, separated, widowed), a medium level of income (A/B-C).
At the same time, incomplete or complete high school,At level of instruction.

c) Phsycographic

According to Promperú, the main reason why still there is not much
affluence of visitors for San Martin - Tarapoto, nevertheless those that arrive,
make activities related to the cultural tourism, nature and adventure, visits to
the city, and entertainment.

Tourists that visit San Martin come for reasons of rest, relaxation, warm
climate and also to visit familiars, they come to make tourism in group or in
couples, to taste its gastronomy, Tourism of nature, to visit waterfalls, lakes
etc, as well as urban tourism, to visit squares, churches etc.

d)Behavioral

The reason for traveling is for Holidays, rest or relaxation, within it, they
perform, cultural activities: Walk through lakes, lagoons and rivers. Walk
through the countryside and natural areas. Additionally, they like to travel
with couple and without couple, prefer a small number of people in their
group. Likewise, Internet and the experience of friends and family make it
influence their travel decision. When this person is in the chosen place, his
