SUBJECT: OBSERVANCE OF DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AND CONTROL

WEEK

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 124, dated November 24, 2001, the third
week of November of every year has been declared as Drug Abuse Prevention and
Control Week to promote public awareness against the ill effects of illegal drug use as
well as public cooperation in the government’s anti-drug campaign.

This year’s observance will fall on November 17 to 23 with the theme “Katarungan para
sa Kalusugan, Kalusugan para sa Katarungan”.

In line with this, all barangays and Sangguniang Kabataan are enjoined to conduct
activities such as orientation, symposium or for a to raise awareness on the dangers of
drugs and increase participation of the community in achieving a drug-free municipality.

The soft copy of the sample banner is available at the office and will also be sent in the
social media group messenger of the secretaries.

In addition, post-activity/accomplishment report shall be submitted to this level on

November 30, 2019.
