FIRST QUARTER
INTENSIFIED ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUG CAMPAIGN PROGRM:
“A DIALOGUE AND FORUM ON THE STRENGTHENING OF THE MUNICIPAL
ANTI-DRUG ABUSE COUNCILS (BADACS) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SULTAN
DUMALONDONG, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR”

An Activity Design

I. RATIONALE

Section 16: General Welfare Clause of the Local Government Code of 1991 mandates that
local government units shall within their territorial jurisdictions, promote health and safety,
improve public morale, maintain peace and order, and preserve the comfort and convenience of
their inhabitants.

The proliferation and use of illegal drugs hamper over-all efforts aimed at promoting
productive family life, community peace and harmony and ultimately, nation building and
national development.

Relative to the above, and to ensure effective public-private sector partnership in addressing
the drug menace, there is a need to conduct a dialogue and forum to come with the guides to
actions to help address the proliferation and use of illegal drugs that will further strengthen
existing efforts on illegal drug prevention and control. Hence, this activity.

II. Objectives:

1. To refresh MADAC members of their duties and functions;


2. To orient MADAC members on Barangay Drug Clearing Operations;
3. To sustain advocacy and information campaign against illegal drugs;
4. To reiterate to all MADACs of their active involvement in the government’s continuous
campaign against illegal drugs.

III. Course Content:

IV. Methodology

This activity will be conducted through lectures, presentations and open-forum.

V. Budgetary Requirements

A total amount of THREE HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND PESOS (Php 330,000.)


will be charged against the General Fund and/or 10% Youth Development Budget to defray the
following expenses:

1. 1 Lunch and 2 snacks for 150 pax


2. Logistics
3. Tarpaulin
4. Tokens

VI. Participants, Schedule and Venue

This activity will be held at Municipal Hall of the Municipality of Sultan DUmalondong on
September 27, 2014 to be participated by 7 Punong Barangays, all MADAC members, Task Force on
Youth Development members, students and youth.
