2. You work for a hospital. Previously, specific nurses were given all weekends shifts. Feedback

gathered from other nurses has revealed that all nurses would like the opportunity to work weekends

when greater penalties are paid. The organization has decided that from now on weekend shifts will

be distributed equally amongst all nurses.

Re: Weekend Overtime Distribution

For the past week we have undertaken a review of the roster system, in particular

the weekend shift allocation. After speaking with you all, The Hospital has decided

that weekend shifts will be now available to all nurses who would like to work on

these days.

This decision was taken to ensure weekend overtime is distributed fairly across the

nursing staff. All nurses who are available on weekends please place your name on

the roster. The roster will be operational from this coming weekend and will operate

as a “rotating roster” ,i.e. going through the names until the end then reverting back

to the top.

If anyone has any questions do not hesitate to ask either The Chief Nurse or myself
